OK guys, I could do with some advice and your opinions.
My lad has just passed his driving test (a month ago) he's going to Wales tomorrow with a couple of mates camping for a week, he's the only one who can drive and has his own car.
I have to say I'm really worried about him going as he has virtually no motorway driving experience, and he's going to be going on the M5, he's going down to St.David's in South Wales......why can't he go somewhere closer for a first trip
Anyway, I want him to have a green 'P' plate on the back of his car so people know he's only just passed, he flatly refuses, saying that people will treat him differently and harass him, I say that hopefully people will give him a wide berth and be considerate towards him, as he's new to motorway driving.
As a regular motorway driver myself up to Liverpool on the M6, I know how daunting it can be, those lorries are bloody massive and can be quite scary especially when they pull out in front of you, am I worrying unnecessarily? or is he being too laid back?
