Really hope he starts Torres. We cant afford any slip ups now so for me our best available 11 have to start.

Really dont want Ngog to start he was embarassing the other night and against a physical Blackburn defence he will prob spend most of the game on his backside like Thurs night.

      Kelly has to start.

      Im going for

                                       Reina
                       Kelly  Carra  Agger  Insua
                                 Masch Lucas
                      Kuyt                      Babel
                                  Gerrard
                                   Torres

That side should hammer them. COME ON REDMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The lads need to take notice of the table now after last nights result and go out guns blazing.

Someone is way overdue a beating and I think Blackburn might just be it.

Won't be best pleased if Degen starts ahead of Kelly.

Just read this from todays match stats on the official site, kinda contradicts how we all feel this season has gone so far.

      Quote
If Liverpool score on Sunday it will be for the 25th successive home league game and will be the club's longest run for 41 years. In all competitions the Reds have scored in 32 consecutive Anfield games.

Looking forward to seeing a few goals for the Reds today but a win is the main thing no matter how ugly we play.

Does anyone know why they are not showing the game in Australia...and are showing sunderland v fulham instead on fox sports.....have they lost rights to most of the games now because ive noticed they dont have viewers choice anymore.

hope the reds can do the job, just so frustrating Aussy reds wont be able to watch it.

Onus is on us to win convincingly today after Man City's win yesterday. Cannot believe after all the points they have dropped that Arsenal stiill have great chance of title.
      Anyway would go with following
                       Reina
              Kelly   Carragher  Agger Aurelio
                    Masch   Aquilan
                Kuyt                       Babel
                                  Gerrard
                           Torres (if fit!)
If not would start Kuy up top, with Benny left mid!. Would love to see Pacheco come on for last 25 mins or so and see him partner Torres

OK lads listen up, get stuck in right from the start, no messing about, don't want to see any of this sideways passing to each other in your own area as you'll end up losing the ball, so let's have a nice bit of one touch football, you know, pass and move type of thing.

Let's put on a grand performance for the Anfield faithfull that have stuck by us all season and given us great support, lets do this for them. We need to get that 4th spot so it's down to us to show the rest of the Premiership what we're made of, we've had a pretty sh*te season by our standards, so it's time to salvage some pride and just get out there and play.

Let's use the full width of the field and get some communication going in that midfield area, Stevie, stamp your mark on the game and sort the lads out.

OK, team talk over, get out there and get the three points. I won't be happy with anything less than a 2-0 victory.

      Rafa Benitez.

With Man City winning yesterday, Spurs currently 1-0 up I don't think it needs saying that it is vital we win today.

Looking forward to this game. Not sure if it is going to be as easy as some people have suggested but in all seriousness, i hope we thrash them because of Fat Sam. I would love to see Torres start but if he is not fully fit, i do not think Rafa will risk him. Therefore, this, in my opinion will be the starting team:

      Reina

      Degan, Carra, Agger, Insua

      Maxi, Masch, Lucas, Aquilani

      Gerrard

      Ngog

Would like to see Kelly get an opportunity but i can't see him starting. If Rafa decides to play Aurelio or Riera on the left, then i would put Aquilani in the middle with Masch and put Lucas on the bench. Come on Redmen, no messing about!

Much as I like Ngog, I would play Babel this game, he's more physical and will get stuck in.  He's got to prove he's worth the red shirt, today is a good opportunity.

                  Reina

      Degan,  Carra, Agger,  Kelly

      Maxi,   Masch   Gerrard ,  Babbel

                  Benayoun

                     Kuyt

I think Benayoun would cause more trouble for B'burn in and around the box. Babbel needs another game to see if he really is going to come good.
Torres and Pacheco to get a run out last 15 min's.

      Kelly       Carra      Agger     Aurelio
      Maxi       Masch    Gerrard    Benayoun
                   Kuyt       Babel

That'll do for me. I'd like to see Gerrard in the middle of the park today, nothing against Lucas or his performances but I'd just like to see us go 4-4-2 at home a bit more often. Can see thirty minutes or so for Torres and maybe some game time for Pacheco too if we're a couple of goals ahead.

Going for a 2-0 win. Gerrard and Maxi to score.
