We don't need the injuries that these games inevitably present the manager with - and all that for a friendly.

That Egypt goal? Reina would have saved that.

Gerrard pretty anonymous. Like the whole team.

Any need for Gerrard to hand his armband to Rooney the way he did.

Is he going down the tunnel to run his mate Wayne a nice warm bath as well.

load of media nonsense again then with Torres.
As Rafa said, he knows del Bosque well, so I guess we dont have to worry in the future about them over-doing it with Torres (would be interesting to know if Torres perhaps put his foot down and said he wasn't for risking his fitness - anyway, for me, for many reasons, Spain are better with one lone striker, particuarly since Torres + Villa do not work well as a pair)

I stand corrected. Torres played for the full second half.

I foolishly watched England so am now off to watch the France Spain game.

Yossi scored the first goal. Israel won 2-0 in Romania.

Mascherano's Argentina won 1-0 away at Germany.

Kuyt scored a pen then was replaced by Babel in 81st minute as Netherlands beat USA 2-1.

Congrats to all the other Reds, for scoring and leading the teams and such. I always get so proud when I'm reminded that Masch captains Argentina for some reason, haha.

IMO Stevie played better when he was in the middle of the park, BUT there was no need for him to give shrek the armband like he did. He doesnt even do that for Carra, so why is fatboy rooney so different??

An English win, no players injured...had a nice pint or 4 in the boozer...good wednesday night for me ;D

Thought Barry was given the armband?

Even so - I'm pretty sure it's up to Capello who he gives it to.

Like as if he was Rooney's bi*ch.  I cringed.

Come on, that is just ridiculous! I have been reading the forum for quite some time, but the way you guys commented on this is so silly and childish that you have made me register. I am from Bulgaria but I still like England's national team. What's the problem with Rooney and Gerrard acting like being part of a team? Rooney is one of the very best strikers in the world! I could not even imagine two players at such high level being so unprofessional to let their clubs rivalry be a problem when playing for the national team. I was happy to see Gerrard and Rooney playing well along and showing mutual respect for each other.

No one gives a sh*t mate, it's an indication of the set up with the national side when an acknowledged w**ker wears the captains armband and when it's publicly confirmed that he is a c**t the armband is then passed on to a football playing coke head.
After all that F***ing nonesense it's surprising Stevie didn't stamp on it cos it's been well dragged through the mud so passing it to shrek was poetic justice.
I believe tho that they are friends outside football.

Daniel Agger was completely outdone by Josh Kennedy when he scored the only goal in Denmark's 1-0 loss to Australia.

Denmark is playing Macedonia tonight and our Danny Agger is here. Last night a few of the Macedonian Reds went to his hotel before they left for the training ground and here are a few pics. I hear he was great with them, took pics, gave autographs and becasue of it was the last one on the bus, boss man.  I wasn't there :(
