I'm hopeful this is the team:
      Reina
      Johnson - Carragher - Agger - Insua
      Mascherano - Aquilani
      Kuyt - Gerrard - Babel
      Torres

I firmly believe stevie needs a rest and a symultaneous good kick up the arse, so should be left out for this one and lille.
Why he's been playing so sh*te is anyones guess, and while we can all specualate its something he has to address, and time on the bench should (better) do this!

Aquilani should play in the hole behind torres, its his natural position and its only fair he's given the opportunity to justify a place.
Anyone who has criticised him has based it on performances he has played in the 'alonso role', but he's not and never has been a denfensive player, nor a deep playmaker like alonso, he's like gerrard!! Which begs the question why rafa sought to make him the alonso replacement (we should've bought someone like miguel veloso realistically).

Johnson going back to right-back is gonna be great for the team, means masch can do what he does best, and that for the first time in months we'll have a stable back-four!

We shoud thrash pompey but they're gonna go for it, (and we should've beaten wigan and lille), so its really down to the players, how they mentally prepare for it and deal with the pressure of a result, we can only moan about rafa so much, the players need to prove they deserve their million pound contracts and put us on the road to fourth place, then we can think about beating those mancs!!

      'Mon the reds!!!!
If Rafa stick to his favourite formation put Masch & Lucas at holding midfielder, hardly Aquilani gonna be starter.

I like this team but we need to replace Insua or hell be burnt again tonight and maxi on the right wing as Kuyt keeps underperforming there.

Whatever 11 he picks just attack & pressure the arse out of them - I just want a victory.

And please Rafa we dont need 2 holding midfielders for this match.

I dont care if he fields the reserves against Portsmouth.
Sent the first team to Barbados.

The game against the scum to keep them level at 18 titles is one of the most important in our whole history.

THAT would be a successful season.

Is that how far we've fallen, when you consider beating United a successful season. :/

      Yes.

That IS how far we have fallen over twenty years.

Depending on other teams to keep the scum from getting 19 ....... because we cant do it.
Might just give us a chance to get our sh*t together and rise again.

For this season contributing to us keeping 18 equal titles is a silver lining.

Got anything yourself to dream up as being a successful season because I just cant see it?

Come on Liverpool 5-0! Send a message to City, Spurs and Villa that we are a bigger club then all of them!

Yes, I'd be happy for 4th and Europa League. Is United win the league it gives us something to aim at.

We don't want to be a club that's is hoping for Chelsea to win the league so we can remain joint best. If United get their 19th it will just increase our drive to get our 19th.
