With that Hazard lad poseing a threat down the wing I think we'll need someone solid and a decent tackler of the ball down the left. That's why I reckon Agger should get the nod ahead of Insua there.

Want us to start with the same line up that started against Pompey except obviously Maxi out and Yossi in on the right.

Be perfect if we can level it up and then get the win in the bag before half time, then we can take Nando, Gerrard or Masch and Johnson off early in the second half ready for Sunday.

If Masch is injured or a slight doubt i'd rather he wasn't risked, need him for against the Mancs.

 If we play the same kind of football that we did against Portsmouth  then Lille can expect a hiding.I presume Lille will play a defensive game and hope to grab a goal,our defenders will have to be wary of a counter attack.I feel lucky so will go for a 4-1 win to RAFAS REDS.

Alberto Aquilani is doubtful for Thursday night's Europa League clash with Lille, manager Rafael Benitez confirmed today.

The Italian international - who netted his first goal for the Reds in a man of the match display against Portsmouth earlier in the week - missed training at Melwood on Wednesday.

"He has a virus and is struggling with his fitness," said Benitez at Melwood earlier today.

"We have to take care of him and decide tomorrow. It will be a late decision."

Cant wait for the match coming down from Edinburgh to sit it the Reds Bar i hope it is the same team from Monday but with Yossi in for Maxi and is Aqua out if so dont want to see either Kuyt or Lucas but if it comes to it Lucas to replace Aqua. Was reading a bit in the morning paper today cant remember who it was but he wants to see Agger push foward into Midfield and Soto in with Carra would like to see Agger and Mash in Centre Midfield why not he got good shot on him not scared to have a dig and a good tackler of the ball.

I agree with a lot of the people in this thread, about the concern with resting certain players - I dont know what is going to happen, we all know how unpredictable Rafa can be with team selections, i think we should slip Benni in for Maxi and maybe Kelly for Johnson, and hopefully if all goes to plan when the game "is in the bag" we can bring off players like Torres and Aquilani

Babel Must start IMO. If Gerrard returns to top form then I'm sure we can beat them, Torres was amazing last time and I think this is all we need

Agree totally with that. Can't believe some people still want Kuyt back in the side, do they not remember the Portsmouth game? Attack works, so let's stick to it.
