Because of their total disinterest in the club and unwillingness to provide funds for whatever reason the owners will not attempt to remove the manager.
They have tried subterfuge and lying as a way of unsettling him but to his credit he remains intact with the support of the majority of supporters.
Whatever steps the owners wish to make to the club's benefit or otherwise they themselves are the biggest drawback to any proposals with their gross stupidity and ignorance.

He's earned his right from us supporters for at least one more season and for that he gets my support.

People mentioning Mourinho, he earns £7m a year at Inter, compared to Rafa's £2.5m a year, so whatever happens, I'd forget about Mourinho.

If he hasn't had enough, and I wouldn't blame him, I'd say Rafa Benitez.

If he is replaced then the people who are in charge will really be Purslow and the two owners - because a new manager would simply be their puppet.

It wasn't a dig at the manager. Like i said, iv'e been cooling on the idea of him going. Especially when you look at who's available.

Wasn't having a dig specifically at you, was talking in general.

Cool man. I'd hate to be associated with the half wits who persist in saying he has wasted 250million. Been backed more than any other manager, blah, blah, blah.

There could be method in their madness and they are intent on pushing the manager to the edge where he will say "F**k it I'm off" in faultering English and the fuckwits will not have to spend a cent.

I was dead certain if we didn't reach fourth this year, he would be gone. I'm not so sure and have been cooling on the idea of him leaving. The candidates likely take over, don't exactly fill me with excitement. Mourinho, is probably the only one I'd like to see there. But, even this wouldn't give the fans the football they want.

I know our owners have not showered themselves in Glory when it comes to looking for replacements. But, given Klinsmans run with Germany, it's understandable why they looked at him. Given the recent talk of transfer funds being unaffected in the summer. I'd say the owners are looking at keeping Rafa on regardless. It certainly fits in with their penny pinching methods.

I can't think of anyone who would be a suitable replacement that's available at Walmart prices. Any ideas?

The references to 'we', 'going off the idea of him leaving', 'current candidates not filling me with exitement', etc, etc, must have been a dead give away. i'd put off that countdown application for another year mate.

      Rafa.

Hes worked under extreme pressure, got the Academy on the go and accepted the problems.

He deserves our support and not to be the victim of infighting.

Back him for his Contract Term.

      Rafael Benitez

Not because of any pay-off issues but because I genuinely think he wants to stay and that he is the best man to deal with the current constraints. I would LOVE to see what would happen if he was given the funds he craves.

I'll also echo eurored's sentiments that he deserves OUR backing.

Rafa, if he wants to stay. And like JD said, I wouldn't blame him if he's had enough.

But if he wants to stay, then it's Mr Benitez for 2010/11!

I'd like to say it will be Rafa ! he's taken some shots this year and must be so disillusioned with his players and the ' two cowboys ',but still refuses to buckle under the pressure, now that takes guts and passion ,that says Liverpool fc

some gooners were askin the exact same question of wenger not that long ago . rafa will be there next season , that is for sure . you can't afford to pay him out and who out there is better than rafa anyhow . it always amuses me when fans call for the gaffers head when their team goes thru a rough patch , surely it is just as much the players fault or even the board could take some of the blame .
