Strange weekend.
I went away Friday buzzing from Thursday nights result. By the time I got home yesterday we had
Dropped 2 crucial points at home
Torres needs to see a specialist
Yanks look like there going
Yanks look like they are staying
4th place looks gone
Yes we should be down about all but the fact the yanks could be selling up. Any Liverpool fan should be down/p**sed off when we dont get a result. But comapred to what the families and friends of 96 people will go through for the 21st year on Thursday we dont really have much to be down about do we. So walk on
Good post Brian, perspective is being used quite a lot recently on the forum, and rightly so. Being from a working class family myself, the son of a miner and enduring the strike etc., perspective plays an important part in my life. My old man always told me that there are many important things in life, but no one aspect is more important than life itself. My thoughts go out to the families and friends of those who lost loved ones on that fateful day, thoughts that are ever present in my mind, every single day.
Yes, we are enduring hard times as Liverpool fans, and a lot of us get impatient and irate, none more so than myself. Football is an important part of my life, but not as important as my family. This doesn't mean i love football any less than the next fan, just that 'perspective' will ultimately prioritise your values as a human being.
It's going to be a hard few months, hopefully we will get rid of the Yanks, building might start on the new stadium and we might get substantial funds for Rafa to finish building what he started. Life is a great leveller, our time will come again, we just have to be patient and let the forces of nature take their course.
Above all we need to have patience, and have belief that the golden sky is just around the corner.
