      First Suarez, now Lucas....

Slowly getting rid of Coutinho's mates.

      This will end well.

We signed Firmino who seems to be a friend of Couts.

Yea, because Cout probably only had two friends. I mean you could tell after he scored how practically no one celebrated with him...I be he doesn't have any friends at all the poor guy.

Ha ha! What a complete roaster he is!

I think Lucas has just had too many injuries and played far too little. Fit and healthy he is a great asset but how fit is he since his last major injury. I think the lad has had some terrible luck and maybe playing more often might help him regain his form and fitness. I don't think Brendan rates him too much so it may be best if he could find another club to play his football.

He was never great, just an OK player who had some good performances and bad ones too.

Best DM we have? well, shows how much we've fallen.

Good squad player at best IMO with Can, Allen, Milner & Henderson are over all better midfielders than him

Lucas has been a good and loyal servant to the club over the years. Hasn't been all plain sailing for him either - think there are differences of opinion on how valuable he is, particularly in the BR era when energy and pressing is so valued in the centre of midfield. He's had more than his fair share of injuries, and probably hasn't started as many games as he'd have liked. And even though I have been a bit critical of him at times in recent years, I've never doubted that he gives his all on the pitch, that his heart is in the right place, and he has made the difference in many games and knows the role of holding mid very well.
Would not deny him a move given his service, that he's likely not going to get much game time at LFC, and the fact that at 28 or whatever he has good years left in him barring more injuries. If he leaves, good luck to him.

This  :mad:is gonna come back and bite us on the arse. I can feel  it in my bones.
Think we should keep him, but it seems he's fell out with BR and his days are numbered.

The same applies to Agger and Lovren.

No it doesn't apply at all. Agger has stated he couldn't cope any more.

Agger said that he had fallen out with Rodgers.

He also said he couldn't cope in the league, but don't let your selective reading remember that part.

C'mon Rodders...look at all the accolades that Danny has picked up since he left. It was obviously a huge mistake to offload a player that has gone on to win so much after leaving us.

I really thought he was excellent today. Showed impetus to get the ball forward and was solid. It was an excellent return to the side from a player who I've doubted his place at the club including this summer. Get him up to fit quick and don't sell - he showed he's still very much an asset.

Sad, but true. Like Brendan as a manager. Agree with him often in terms of tactics and selection (usually). But his loyalty toward Allen when there have always been better selections has been suspect to me. Put simple, he's a sh*t player to me, relative to our other options. One of the only players in our side that I've got that opinion of. I've noticed out of him that if he like a player personally, it seems difficult for him to let go. Shouldn't be the case when you're the manager of a football club, friendships should have no play in selections.

To Lucas though, you wouldn't have thought this was his first game back. Done brilliantly to cut passing lanes off, lock the box down, and find our own feet from the back. Constantly started attacks by feeding the ball in properly to our frontline or the other midfielders.

Always loved him as a player, but written him off already this season given what I thought BR was going to do with him. For sure he was gone, as much to my disagreement as it was. Hopefully he keeps his place in our 18. Would absolutely love to see Hendo, Milner, Can, and Lucas fighting for three midfield spots.

Was it just me or did I see him wave "goodbye" to the fans on his way off when being subbed?..

So solid for us and classy touch when we needed it last night..

Madness the difference he makes how we can let him go, give him away. Unless and I doubt it, we have a serious player lined up to come in.
Look Can won't cover what Lucas does and nobody else comes close. Can't phantom it

To think that he's given his entire career really to this club joining so young and adapting to his new Liverpool home from far away, settling down, bringing his family up and don't forget all the community things he's involved in..
He always gives 110% every game, keeping things ticking over in front of our backline and we just let him go !

      Wrong... very wrong..
