I am sure if we do go 2-0 up then Rafa will change things.

I think it's going to be Masch at centre back along with Carra to try and help stop Aguero, neither Sotis or Carra have the speed to keep up with Kun should he get past them. I would have been confident enough with Agger at CB but we need him at left back at the moment.

Were going tw*t these left, right and centre and get an 8-0 win ;)

Seriously though, I think we could be in for a long evening of football, reckon it will go like Chelsea in the CL semi final, we will win the game 1-0 and end up taking it through to penalties. Either way our main priority should be to keep it tight at the back because we cant afford to concede an away goal, they have Kun and Forlan who are both capable of causing our defence a lot of problems. We have Aquilani back in the midfield now so lets hope he can play in some killer balls for Babel or Kuyt to finish off.

      Come on Reds!

Yes I know what you mean, lots of cheers and tears!
Hopefully no peno's though as we do have Reina and I don't think i could last Peno's without breaking

Could be 352, or a variation of, but I doubt it.

4231 with Masch either at RB or CB to keep Aguero quiet (fingers crossed)

Whatever, we'll find out at kick off - but this line up excites me (matron) and looks full of attacking options.

Might see Dirk up front and Babel on the right as Dirk won't have to defend as much - although the thought of Babel trying to defend fills me with dread.

I'm really excited about this match now - the dogs been walked, I've had my first beer and the GF is sodding off to her place for the evening.

      Happy days ;)

A few square pegs in round holes there but at least it's a fairly offensive line-up so I'm happy.

Love this lineup! Perhaps Rafa will take the shackles off of Lucas :D Kidding, of course.

Masch proved to be a formidable right back earlier in the season, and Glen could do some damage as basically a LB/Winger cutting in from the right on to his powerful right foot. I'm excited to see Aquilani and Gerrard linkup again, and I'm thinking Babel will get one tonight. I feel it. Come on Reds!  :kop5cf8koxp6:

Valera plays both. I'd say like Dossena but Valera is actually decent at the back.

      There'll be goals here.
As long as their ours, I don't mind one bit.

Still doesn't make sense to have 4 defenders - inclusive of Mascherano with Sotis on the bench.

Can anyone work out that puzzle??? Surely we are going with 3 defenders??

Strange, but we know Rafa likes his options.

Maybe he's chosen this line-up to be able to change things around without having to make any substitutions, depending on how the opening 20-30 minutes go.

Rearrange a couple of players and the formation can be very attacking or solid in defence.

Rafa has gone for another of his famous "head fucks" of the opposing manager! :D

Think there is more chance of Nando playing than us playing 3 at the back.

I know it's wrong but i hope Reyes gets injured early on so we don't have to watch him lying on the grass holding his face (even when he hurts his foot) all night!!

Great news Kuyt is fit he's tailor made for european matches.
