I wouldn't sell a team of players at one go.

Arda Turan, Joe Cole, a left back and maybe Carlton Cole/Roman Pavlyuchenko would do for now.

We can afford to lose El Zhar, Degen, Riera and Cavalieri. Only replace Benayoun and Babel if we are guaranteed to get better ones.

We haven't got a chance of affording Tevez, but the idea above, especially about James is the best joke I've heard all year. He lost enough Premier League titles all on his own thanks very much, the idea of seeing this big idiot back at Anfield would probably drive me to murder.

Could easily raise about 70-80 Million for those players in my opinion, and buy one better play for each of those. If we we're to loose these players I'd go for a new LB a new LW/M and a CF to possibly partner Torres.

I'd look at signing Dzeko, Silva and Bale.

Closest I could get to that was 62.5 million and I was being generous in my valuations.

About the same as I thought, 8/9 + 6 + 6 + 10/12 + 10 = 40/43.

Besides those four Insua would be the only one bringing some real money in. Aurelio's contract is expiring so we can't sell him.

Also, when a club starts flogging off that many players together in one period then they're not going to get the best value for them.

It's not worth it seling 5 players and being able to only bring one or two in because if injuries and suspension strike, we are in trouble.

Did you notice how few goals we conceded. Did you not notice the connection between this and Kyriarkos coming into the back four.

Seen a fair few posts with people adding up the potential fee's we would get for a player sale. I don't think you have taken into consideration the fact that the manager won't be given all of the money received from a player sale, regardless of whether 1 is sold or 8 are sold. About 80% of the money will go to the debt payments and the rest will probably be part of any compensation required for us to get a new manager. Evevn if we can get a new gaffer without paying compensation I wouldn't bank on the manager getting more than about 15% of the fee received. We saw with Xabi, Dossena, Voronin the fee's basically went to the debt payments, the debts have probably increased since then too....

I am actually happy to keep our stars first than selling players and not being able to bring in replacement.

However, those I can afford to let go are El Zhar, Albert Riera and Yossi Benayoun.
