Benzema out.. if you had said that a year ago, you would have been laughed off. Moving to Madrid thus far is looking to be a huge mistake for him isn't it! Cisse in there though.

Looking forward to seeing how both Lloris and Gourcuff perform on the big stage.

Benzema is a shock especially when you see Cisse is there, his star has really fallen. F**k me Real wouldn't get half what they payed for him now.

As it has been for so many players, the list is huge isn't it. There's gonna be so much wasted talent leaving this summer.

Not sure if it was posted but France announced their 30 man provisional squad too

      France
Goalkeepers: Hugo Lloris (Lyon), Steve Mandanda (Olympique de Marseille), Cédric Carrasso (Bordeaux) e Mickaël Landreau (Lille)

Defenders: Bacary Sagna (Arsenal-ING), Eric Abidal (Barcelona-ESP), William Gallas (Arsenal-ING), Patrice Evra (Manchester United-ING), Rod Fanni (Rennes), Adil Rami (Lille), Sebastien Squillaci (Sevilla-ESP), Gaël Clichy (Arsenal-ING), Marc Planus (Bordeaux-FRA) e Anthony Reveillère (Lyon)

Midfielders: Jérémy Toulalan (Lyon), Lassana Diarra (Real Madrid-ESP), Alou Diarra (Bordeaux), Yoann Gourcuff (Bordeaux), Abou Diaby (Arsenal-ING), Yann M'Vila (Rennes) e Florent Malouda (Chelsea-ING)

Strikers: Sidney Govou (Lyon), Franck Ribéry (Bayern de Munique-ALE), Thierry Henry (Barcelona-ESP), Nicolas Anelka (Chelsea-ING), Djibril Cissé (Panathinaikos-GRE), André-Pierre Gignac (Toulouse), Mathieu Valbuena (Olympique de Marseille), Hatem Ben Arfa (Olympique de Marseille) e Jimmy Briand (Rennes)

Nasri out, Diaby in...  ??? No Benzema either.

In my opinion that's a good move. Really like Diaby as a player. Would've thought Cissokho would be in there if they didn't have Evra and Clichy.

      Never heard of M'Vila.

Edit: Just looked up M'Vila - 19yr old playing for Rennes!

I have this feeling Blanco always played for Mexico, even before he was born, and ever will. The day Blanco is not in the Mexican squad is the day I will lose faith in the world.

      I love him btw ;D

No Samir Nasri? Shocking. Thought he was the next Zidane? Oh wait, so are Gourcuff and Ribery  I never really rated Benzema, to be honest. Looks like moving to Madrid wasn't the right move for him.

But honestly, I still think Nasri is good enough for the World Cup. Would love to see Yoann Gourcuff play.

Don't know if this one's posted. Even though I know no one but still ...

Brazil 'waiting list' (players who could go if anyone gets injured) was announced too:

      Ronaldinho Gaúcho (Milan)
      Paulo Henrique Ganso (Santos)
      Alex (Chelsea)
      Marcelo (Real Madrid)
Sandro (Internacional -> sold to Tottenham)
      Carlos Eduardo (Hoffenheim)
      Diego Tardelli (Atlético-MG)

Adriano was almost certain in the World Cup last year, if it wasnt for his lack of commitment, missing trainings and being out of form like he is, he would be there for sure, but look at him now, not even in the waiting list. I feel sorry for him cause he's a person with serious psychological problems, but as an athlete he is supposed to be, he really does not deserve to go to South Africa.

Do you know Douglas Diego? Very talented defender, predict a big future for him. We might be stealing him from you next year :P But only if he still plays in Holland by then that is, otherwise we can't. He's quite the wanted player, Inter and Bayern are after him and many more clubs. He was interested in gaining the dutch nationality this year to come to the World Cup with us, but our manager deemed it to early I think. I think he should've done it.

Don't know anything about him to be honest. Looks like one of the Brazilian players who leave too early before they can build their career in Brazil (Eduardo, Deco and Pepe, for example). The club where he played before going to Holland is a small one (Joinville, 3rd division), so I dont think I ever saw him play... I only know him cause of Football Manager ;D Interesting to see he's considered good enough to play for a good team like the dutch.

I'm not sure if I consider him good enough to be in the first 11 of our dutch team already, he's quite inexperienced, but certainly good enough to bring along. When I look at some of the central defenders we currently selected, Boulahrouz, Ooijer, Vlaar, he's better but with way more potential. He's considered to be the best defender in our league at just 22, and together with Bryan Ruiz he carried Twente to their first dutch league win ever this year. Really think he'll be a word class player in the future, he just needs a few years experience at a big club. I'm afraid we'll probably end up losing out in the end though, we dutch need some proper defenders you see :P

Was thinking that myself too actually. I don't really rate Benzema though, and supposedly he has a really bad attitude. However, I have to agree about Domenech.
