Apple iPad 3G Mobile data plans in the UK

The Apple iPad will be out shortly and already three of the big operators are publishing price plans.

So if you're thinking of getting an iPad you can get yourself a daily, weekly or one-monthly contract (depending on how often you will use it away from Wi-Fi)

Anybody going to get one?

Not for me. Just got an iPhone and it struggles to get a 2G signal as apose to a 3G signal, where as my SonyEricsson never had problems.

Sticking with my Laptop.

I'd probably be more than happy with my iPhone too.

But I haven't used one yet and as soon as I do, I want one so I am commuting to nothing.

6 models. Starts at £429 for the 16Gb Wi-fi - goes up to £699 for the 64Gb Wi-Fi + 3G.

Personally, I think some of the 3G deals are quite good personally.  Orange are supposed to have the best nationwide 3G coverage, I know that much.

I'm sure later models will have a front facing camera etc - do you wait or hold out.  I'm undecided.  My iPhone contract is up soon and there is supposed to be a new one of those out.

If I have a win on the Irish it might make a decision for me.

sh*te in Kent, though. Had to switch from them to O2 because of that.

Got an iPhone and a good laptop.

Don't see the need to spend in excess of £500 to 'bridge' that gap. Rather spend it on upgrading my laptop.
