I haven't joined and I have no intention of joining.

Their strategy up to this point with the huge backing from fans has been in my view completely toothless.

If they can find it within themselves to come up with decent honourable uses of the funds they have built up on direct appropriate action then I will be happy to support them.

      On boycotts.

They have said that a boycott of official merchandise is something we should be doing.

With regards to matches, it has been put forward that season ticket holders should say no to the Auto Cup scheme. This would prevent the owners being able to dictate the price of tickets for cup games that are already sold.

Talk of boycotting one cup game. An unattractive midweek game, either League Cup or Europa League. A league game would be a non-starter with the number of people travelling over and those who are tied in with season tickets, etc.

If people are opting out of the Auto Cup scheme, and it is widely advertised in a thorough manner, then a cup game is a battle we are much more likely to win.

I sincerely hope that this goes ahead, as at least a compromise alongside an official merchandise boycott. It would give them a measurable blow and will show them what weare capable of achieving.

I thought the whole point of boycotting a game though was to cause as much media attention as possible. Is boycotting a 3rd round League Cup tie against Brighton gonna cause as much as a match in the Premiership even if it's against a Wigan or Bolton or someone of that ilk?

I think they're talking more Europa League.

I never expected a full boycott or any boycotts of league games. I do think that with enough organisation it could be done but they don't seem to think so.

They way they put it, you pick the battles you can win and a cup game is a lot closer to that than a league game where season ticket holders and travelling fans will still be handing money over to H&G. By doing one that people will not be tied in to if they swerve the opt out, and advertising heavily that the game in question is the one we should be boycotting (none of this 'oh, I thought it was next week' sh*te) then it could be effective.

From my personal views on the boycott, I think we can do something more. But I'm not arsed about media attention. Yes, it would help but relying on the media is something I don't bank on anymore. I want it to show the Yanks that we can hit them in the pocket. That is the aim, and if we have an empty ground that no-one has paid for through their season tickets, and no-one has bought tickets online or at the window, it will show them what we are capable of influencing.

Agree with you there Joey - the most important thing is they need to know we mean business and we intend to do whatever is necessary to get them out.

This organisation is loosing credability with it's name. Shankley had a spirit, that was basically socialist, people first, institutions, second. So with the club, fans, players, manager and everything else is to serve that.

We don't need anyone to stand up on behalf of our cause, because we are already fighting that. We do not need a "political Wing". So Spirit Of Shankley, put up or f*ck off.
