I never said it had to do with Liverpool FC. The thread is a football discussion about him. Not you, not me, not any of us, not even the club. Just him.
I don't meet or see any blues, not even when I'm in Liverpool, so what they sound like is of no relevance to me. But when you're responsible for winning the league, you either win it, or expect criticism whether you want it or not. In this thread I hold him accountable for his record. If people don't like it, then he has the power to shut me up and reel off a few proper titles every year like world class coaches routinely do, instead of needlessly putting himself in volatile situations with trigger happy owners, and then wondering why he gets sacked.
He was 3-0 down at the mancs last weekend in half an hour, which apparantly didn't go down well. He's a fish out of water over there, and only a matter of time before the boos begin and he's looking for another job.
Houllier was more than willing to carry on doing the job, and went on to work at other clubs. You can say it any way you want but he was sacked because finishing fourth at the time, thirty points behind the leaders meant things had to change. Just as finishing 7th after 6 years in charge also meant things had to change.
