Such a classy guy, my manager of the season after Klopp.

Smashed Chelsea 3-0 to cap off an unbelievable season for the magpies!

Who would have thought they could finish 10th with that squad.
      Shows the class of Rafa.

Just imagine if he had backing from Ashley!

A while ago, he was all set for an 8th place cliffhanger against Puel and Allardyce. Except he lost the next 4 games, including at home to West Brom. So had to settle for 10th, firmly in the middle of nowhere positions.

He hasn't said yet who he will support in the European Cup Final, afaik. If he supports Real, that's fine. If it's Liverpool, and we win, then he can stop telling Klopp in press conferences, that he needs to win trophies.

Macca has already said he will be supporting us. Owen should be able to manage it as well. Toshack has connections to both clubs. Morientes went to Istanbul but would probably be expected to be on Real's side in the final, as would Xabi, which is fair enough. All depends on where you're from imo.

reading these posts on Rafa (who has now lived on Merseyside for 14 years his daughters have grown up here his wife gives a tremendous amount of time to local charities) is like having to endure the worst case of brown rain you could imagine.

You were slating him for being near relelgation, then when he has his team beat Chelsea (something we were unable to do, when it mattered most) to finish mid table it’s still not good enough. Not to mention we also failed to beat WBA, Stoke and Swansea with a much superior team, to completely bottle a 3rd, potentially 2nd place finish.

think he’s said Klopp needs to win trophies once. Which is true, Klopp made the bold statement of saying we will have a title within 4 years remember.

You need to let stuff go, you’re embarrassing yourself.

Come on guys, spare a thought for lfc across the water. If Rafa, Klopp, Dalglish etc sold a player I loved and idolised (1d fangirl level), spending thousands on merchandises and building shrines of him, but then only to be sold after 6 months, I too would harbour the same hate for decades!!!!

No he was telling us what we need before both games against them this year, and me being me, I've commented on them both, putting the record straight, as I do.

After losing 4 straight games, he won an end of season kickabout at home against disinterested opposition, with one eye on the cup final. He lost both games that mattered to both of their clubs during the winter, in the league and cup.

In any case, we have a European Cup final next week and a spot in it next year to look forward to. You get absolutely nothing for finishing 10th in the league.

They say if you say a lie often enough, it becomes the truth. I'm glad that you seem to be the exception to the rule.

As for getting nothing for finishing 10th, not exactly true nowadays, they took home 25% more money than any of the relegated sides, which they were certainly considered candidates for with most pundits and punters saying, before the season started, a good job would be keeping them up. In prize money terms, only Everton and the big 6 took more of the TV & prize money pie this season.

You usually only encounter this much bitter the other side of Stanley park though, having said that, not even met a Toffee cabbie that's as acerbic as you.

So that puts the "lack of money" excuse to bed.

This is someone remember, who once reeled off the revenue streams from other league grounds, as to why world class players like Carra, Xabi, Masch, Didi, Gerrard, Torres etc etc couldn't win league titles for this club over 9 months, but could somehow triumph in Istanbul from 0-3 at half time.

You know I wasn't talking about revenue. But now that you bring it up, every club got a financial return from the season. Even West Brom made near 100 million quid for finishing bottom. We retained our top 4 spot and got to the European Cup Final. That should be worth a fair bit more than receiving 25% more prize money than relegated sides.

Our fans, (or indeed Real fans who also had to endure his tactics, failures, and fallouts) can send him a "Here's what you could have won" postcard from the Olympic Stadium next week.

Why? It's not like Ashley let him spend any.

I'd give you more credit if you told us the real reason you don't like him, rather than your partial truths and outright lies.

And we will have to share the experience with him on 26th. No Liverpool fan would ever talk about Rafa the way he does.
Some fans didn't like some of his tactics but nobody should ever disrespect the memories he left us with and the affection we all (but one) feel for him.
