No league title in 15 years.
No European Cup in 14 years.
      No EPL title.
      No FA Cup.

      No win in 4 months.
      Bottom of the table.
      Out of the League Cup.

Has "world class" got a new meaning, nowadays?

That club is the laughing stock of the league, with an owner caught on camera, laughing at the fans. Anyone else who took that job and you would laugh at them too.

Won the Uefa cup with Chelsea.. So it’s not 14 years.. Nice try though..

We’re out of the league cup too.. you probably failed to notice..

Rest of your post is nothing but white noise...

Our fate in the League Cup is our own business. His business is more important in a thread specifically about him.

It is 14 years since his last European Cup. 12 years since he got to the final. World class coaches get there on a far more regular basis.

At a club that everyone, every pundit has said is championship level. Kept them up, no investment in the summer, still has championship level players. Getting bashed by someone that probably bashes one out every time Benitez has a bad day.

Finished 10th with a Championship Level squad.
Expected to do the same while turning a profit in the transfer window.

Zidane 3 CL trophies in first 3 years, world class  or return on investment. The latter I'd say. The fact that Rafa isn't suited to Madrid or clubs with all world class superstars is another issue. I think it is the culture of those clubs like Madrid, whose quality tends to win games irrespective of style. He stayed at Newcastle in the hope they would build a project, they aren't, buyers haven't been found and Ashley is not interested in investment to win. Rafa would win if the investment was there. The star of this season they have played Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Leicester. They got a result against Palace and Cardiff. They play Utd next. That is a pretty tough start. I'd wager the next 12 games will bring a higher return.

The winning trophies category is restricted to investment vehicles barr the odd upset. Rafa hasn't been in charge of one of those vehicles for most of the last 14 years and they don't need a manager like Rafa to win. Send Zidane to Newcastle under AShley and see where they end up.

For the record, you’ve pretty much described Liverpool Football Club. Except our title drought is far worse and the last time we won the FA Cup or any trophy of note is actually with the man you are so obsessed with, the man who as it goes has had more silverware than us since he left.

That doesn't really cut it nowadays tbh. There are plenty of clubs with similar resources, Burnley/Brighton/Fulham/Watford to name a few. They're all ahead of Newcastle in the league, and they also had tough starts. Finishing 10th is nothing to write on a postcard either. Allardyce finished 8th last year, and was swiftly sacked.

So he should, given the clubs he was with, and the players he had. Ronaldo, Benzema, Modric, Torres, Ramos, Terry, etc etc. When a world class coach has the world's best players to work with week in week out, he's expected to reel off the big trophies on an annual basis. They don't get repeatedly sacked, then get relegated at Newcastle.

He was a tv pundit by the time we won the League Cup at Wembley.

After we won the league Cup Rafa won the UEFA cup within 6 months of working with WC players at Chelsea & got them qualified for the CL..

See what he can achieve with such high calibre players..

We have won nothing of note since ..

So why do you slate him so much for Newcastle struggling when they have such a sh*t team, even when they finished mid table last season...

Would love for Rafa to get one over on Jose today and really dig the knife in.  I F***ing hate Mourinho and have been thoroughly enjoying his fall from grace.  A little redemption for Rafa right before Jose is axed would be poetic justice 😎

Because as things stand, he is doing that job, so if he's going to take the plaudits for mid-table mediocrity, he is also going to have to accept responsibility for the relegation battles under his watch, for the third time since he took the job.

Like I said in the last post, finishing 10th is nothing special. But if it is, then obviously their squad is not as bad as people think it is.

So the 9th game has come and gone.

      Bottom.

It's now got to the stage where Steve McMahon, (who knows a thing or two about what it takes to win leagues, cups, and doubles at this club) sees through his excuses, to question him and hold him partly responsible for their results up there, when the subject is raised on our club channel.

What is your point exactly? You don’t rate him, we all get it. This topic literally only starts to get posted in again when you feel the need to remind us all.

The Mancs are 9 points behind us, we are 2nd in the league on GD and you still feel the need to be spending your time in this topic thinking that people actually give a sh*t what you have to say.

You need to let stuff go.

Same in current affairs, VAR and any other topic where he gets a bee in his bonnet.

He sees himself as being some kind of one man army against the forum, sent to ‘set the record straight’, so unfortunately the more you argue with him the more relevant he thinks his purpose becomes.
