Even though I really like Spain as a team and want Torres to do well, this result will make the World Cup, and their group especially,  alot more interesting.

Well, that was unexpected. Could they do what France done in 2002 and be the big team to go out in the group stage?

      :lmao: Haha!

See if you don't have a decent defence with a decent holding midfielder you struggle.

F**k me was not expecting that, I think if Spain went out it would be a let down for the world cup.

      That's WORLD CUP! Brilliant game.

Well done Switzerland :o A win that goes to the history books, against all the odds.

They also dont conceade a goal for around 8 hours in a World Cup.

      f**k . f**k . NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !

Wait ...Nando took off his shirt ... I feel a little better now .

EDIT:Good job Switzerland they played well and stuck to their tactics which was to hold Spain down and get something on the counter attack  , but I'm really upset at the score . But I know Spain will make it out of the group stages though . But loved the last intense 10 mins , very exiting !

Better not! I have them down as winners for my girlfriends dads work bracket. And they are my other team alongside the Aussies, i should be guaranteed some good finals action from them!

Actually, he's been mentioned before by people on this forum. And I think he could do a good job for us: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottmar_Hitzfeld

Said during the game it'd be quality if Chile and Switzerland progress from this group.

Just goes to show, anything can happen in football. Good job I didn't put more than £2 on my accumulator.

Best day of the World Cup so far. First a good Chile performance and then the best game so far.

I was complaining about Switzerland defensive approach during the 1st half but you have to give them credit for doing it like they did. I just thought they have enough quality in attack to go and try to get something out of the game, especially with the Leverkusen lads - which they did.

I'm amazed by their defense, I thought with Spain both wingers (Silva and Iniesta) cutting inside every time a player like Navas would make a hell of a difference but the Swiss also did well preventing him to cross most of the times. I mean, Navas did better than Silva, but not as much as I thought. Torres was disappointing, not in his best form that's for sure.

Well done Switzerland, football is a brilliant game isnt it.
