^^^^ Yes absolutely ridiculous there are also Facebook groups set up to boycott the telcos and demanding an explanation from them. In 2006 it was only $10 to watch the tournament, now it's $94. They are only showing 4 games live on free TV, opening game, semi finals and final.
And then one of the executives of the telcos said that the World Cup was at a decent price.. just over the price of a cup of coffee per game. That's wrong!! 700-900% increase in prices, one of the world's most expensive places to watch the World Cup?
Fuming at this really. Did not subscribe to the package as I thought I wouldn't be watching too many games but I've got to turn to internet streams. Either that or get out of the house to a nearby community club and watch on projector screen with a couple of other hundred people..
That link didn't work particularly too well when I was watching USA-Slovenia, does anyone have other better links? I guess not though, due to the probably scarcity of people watching such a major even on TV :-/
