Hes had an ok world cup I would say (Sanchez), without the real end product. He ran into dead ends a lot today, but at 21, he has plenty of potential, Brazil seemed to much for him today though. Still he has caught the eye and big teams might have a look.

I agree with that, his finishing wasnt near as good as the other aspects of his games either, but he sure seem to be a very promising player.

I was also a bit surprised by Bradley for the US.  He scored that great equalizer against Slovenia and I thought he played great.  Everyone talked about Donovan and Altidore and Dempsey. But Bradley really made a name for himself.

Yeah, I also thought Bradley had a good WC, I remember one Brazilian commentator saying "he's proving to be more than just the manager's son" :D

ESPN are reporting that Man City are going after Donovan...I guess his loan with Everton is over.

I honestly didn't think he was good enough for the EPL. But, he had an OK run with Everton and was pretty solid in the WC, so I dont know. I wish him luck and I guess we'll see what happens.

Mesut Ozil has performed well in all his four matches.

Amazing since he's like only 21.

Messi has been well.. Messi without the goals, Ozil is class but inconsistent week in week out, love Alexis Sanchez, Honda has a great engine (i'm really sorry). Bradley is someone who will end up in the premiership. Thomas Muller has a real future.

Also the linesman who missed seeing that should've been England 2nd goal.

I think Diego Forlan has been fantastic. I'm not a big fan of his, never been, but he has been a great leader for Uruguay. He had to be dropped back a bit as their midfield lacks creativity and he's playing somehow as an attacking midfielder, but he's doing a good job there.

Also from Uruguay, I'd say their fullbacks are impressive - Maxi Pereira and Fucile.

From Brazil, our CB partnership (Lucio & Juan) is second to none. Maicon is absolutely fantastic, his runs on the right side always turn into something special - he's on great, great form. Gilberto Silva is proving his critics wrong too, it's obvious that he's past his best but he's still a very good defensive midfielder, very important to our system. Upfront, there's Luis Fabiano who is an amazing finisher, his record for the national team is incredible (28 goals in 42 games).

There have been a few for me. Have been very impressed by the Japan defender Tulio. Looks solid and organises the defence very well. Not an outstanding player but he is solid. Also been impressed by Honda. Couple of great goals and he always looks dangerous. The other one is not a surprise. Messi! I don't watch a lot of Spanish Football so I ahve never really properly seen Messi play, except the Champions League and Youtube. I can see what all the hype is about, however. All he needs is a goal. And of course, Ozil has had a good tournament but, having watched a lot of the Bundesliga before the tournament, i always knew how good he was. Good to see him doing it on the world stage though.

Lucas Barrios, scored a lot of goals for Borussia Dortmund this season. He's Argentine, got the dual citizenship just a few months before the World Cup.

Just watched the Spain game and Villa was well fired up. Could take some physical too. Pity he'll never be in the premier league.

There is two full-backs who stood out for me of players I really never see much on a club basis but remember both of them when the U-20 World Cup was in Canada.

Fábio Coentrão has been one player who stood out for me, he has a very good engine to go up and down the line. When in attack he really looks like a threat every time. Mauricio Isla from Chile is another full-back who has impressed me with his attacking ability.

His name is Lucas Barrios. He has Lucas on his shirt because he had it on his shirt when he played for colo-colo and shot 38 goals in 37 matches. He transfered to us last summer for 4,25Mio€ an shot 23 goals in 36 matches. I can't even imagine that the reds can afford him.

Seems he is a pretty effective player like Cardazo.
Wonder if he could hack it in the premiership.

Yea he is. But everyone in Dortmund is  anxious if he can repeat  this in 10/11 or how he can do in the Euro League.
      He's pretty amazing.
