Started following the Reds around the early 2000s.
My Best XI in my lifetime would be :
GK - Pepe Reina < without doubt, the most reliable goalkeeper I have seen in my entire life.
RB - Steve Finnan < he was a really good defender and was very consistent. Shame we didn't game him way earlier.
CBs - Sami Hyypia and Jamie Carragher < Both may not possess the pace of a cheetah but they read the game very, very well. Sami hardly put a wrong foot in and Carra is always no-nonsense.
LB - John Arne Riise < he probably wasn't known for his defending but he would run down the left with pace. Can even break legs with his powerful left foot.
DM - Javier Mascherano < probably the best player in his position. When he's on top on his game, he wins the ball almost everytime, cleanly.
CM - Xabi Alonso < still one of my favourite players. Has a passing and vision range second to none. Incredible player and I really missed the times when he was at the centre. Made our midfield work and to be honest, I always felt safe with him in the team.
AM - Steven Gerrard < most complete player of his generation. I don't have to say much about this lad.
CFs - Fernando Torres, Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler <
< Torres is probably the best forward in the world at the moment. He can be quiet a whole game and score a crucial winner. Even if not at his best, he's better than most.
< Owen, well, Judas, but he is the reason I became a Liverpool fan. He was lethal. Had pace that troubled everyone.
< Fowler, though I've not seen him alot, he was a class act based on videos I've seen.
Subs :
