West Brom are looking to add Liverpool striker David Ngog to their squad list for next season and want him on loan.

The Frenchman was a bit part player for the Reds last season, although he did manage to score eight goals. He is likely to be in the same position this time around.

West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo is looking to add to his frontline as he plots a course for the Baggies to take in which they can survive their first season in the Premiership.

Liverpool signed he 21-year-old from Paris St Germain in 2008 on a four-year contract.

This story has been reproduced from today's media. It does not necessarily represent the position of Liverpool Football Club.

I'd have no problem with him going out on loan to gain more first team experience. I'm hoping we don't have to rely on him so much this year anyway!

      Wouldn't do him any harm.

Depends on what happens with other players hopefully coming in, and hopefully not going out.

      Loan?

      I'd allow it.

Sale? Could come back to haunt us, he needs a bit of muscle on him and a 2/3 years experience and he could be okay finisher.

How much could we sell him for?

That interest's going up like the clappers.

My mate who supports Blackburn said he's rumoured to be going there on loan, too.

I'd say it all depends on our other transfer dealings. Last year we pretty much had Torres, Kuyt and N'Gog. We don't want to be in a situation this year where we only have Torres and Kuyt.

If we perhaps bring in a few strikers then I'm all for the loan move. He gets ripped a lot by supporters and none supporters but he does have some potential for the future.

Move him on i say. Not good enough for Liverpool Football Club. He had chance after chance last season and failed to deliver. Young or not, he's doesn't make the grade.

But how much did we pay for him? Hardly anything if I remember correctly. Was it £1.5m?

I can't see us getting any better for that kind of price.

Had a chance last season and was found sadly lacking, unfortunaly not good enough may as well get some money for him

I reckon we'd get 3 million for him, would be a good bit of business in my opinion. Just not good enough.

Should go on loan or sold for a couple of million. Quite simply should not be starting games for us. Has a lot of the time an excellent first touch but beyond that - nothing.

A loan is the perfect situation for him. That's what proper clubs do...loan out the youngsters to top division clubs to get experience rather than rack the pressure on them expecting the youngster to be a world beater with a few sub appearances. Should have done the same with babel a few years back.

Let him go on loan, get some experience and I reckon he could have a future at this club, he needs another dimension to his game to make him top quality.

Dont think he needs a loan deal myself. He has already broke into our first team and we have only Torres as a central striker.

      Really?

Did we loan out Gerrard, Owen or Fowler etc?

Did Barcelona loan out Messi? Or Pedro?

It's not really fair to compare N'Gog to those players, they were all far better at N'Gog's age than he is.

I like what I've seen of N'Gog, he has a knack of getting into very dangerous positions, he seems to have that striker's instinct.

However, I do feel he'd benefit from playing every week, and I don't think he's ready to do that for us.

I do think a loan - to the right club - would benefit both parties.
