I really can't see Comolli agreeing to sign him, it's totally against what we're trying to do. We're trying to escape the hoof and hack with loads of bodily contact football. Cole can find some other club to fling his body around. Yet it's totally in like with Hodgson who's ever willing to express his knowledge about the 'ethos' and 'mantra' of the club.

I'm looking to the squad and i just see players who are near 30 or at least 30! so that is what you call future? I want to see young lads playing day and day out, mixed with some    experienced players! And yes this young kids do misstakes, but they are young, hungry and 100% behind the club! Btw even if it was going to happen, I hardly imagine Comolli/FSG accepting us to pay the asked price for such player, so it would be because West Ham offered him for 3 kopek, and nothing dramatic.

 If Cole comes to Anfield because Hodgson is the boss then he is out of his brain,lets face it when Hodgson gets the boot Cole will be lucky to get into the reserves never mind the bench.The standards for L.F.C. have to be a lot higher than a player like Cole.

West Brom are considering a move for West Ham striker Carlton Cole following the collapse of his £4.2million move to Stoke.

Cole declared his commitment to the West Ham cause on Sunday despite their desire to get him off the wage bill.

Albion, on tour in the US, will hold a meeting with former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves in Portland on Wednesday.

Manager Roy Hodgson has concerns about his fitness but sporting and technical director Dan Ashworth said: 'If he is fit to play in the Premier League, it is a no-brainer.'
