Figueroa has more pace and positional awareness then Bridge. Bridge is English, that's about all he offers.

      Get Figueroa in.

Debatable. I have many Man City fan mates that are saying they should be paying us to take him off their hands not the other way round :lmao: My opinion is that Johnson is a better right back than Bridge is a left back - defending wise which says something.

Was in the Luke Young thread and someone posted this guy's twitter that Figueroa will be unveiled tomorrow. He claims that Figueroa has undergone a medical and was with Brunker this morning with only the signing to be announced left.

Well Ross I trawled through Google a few days ago, popped up a few dodgy links on our signing of Figueroa but the general consensus I had was that Figueroa would be signing for us.

I have to be honest, I dont know much about him and the only thing I can say is the times Ive watched Wigan he's never really stood out. The only thing I remember is that long range goal he scored last season vs Stoke.

Saying that, there arent many left back options out there so I couldnt name a more suitable signing for this kind of money.

Somewhat how I feel as well mate. I've watched him numerous times, and not sticking out is a good thing. We need a left back who is steady and reliable. I think Figueroa will bring that. Might not be the best in the prem, but he's better then what we have here, and what we can afford.

I definitely rate him more then Bridge.

I want Taiwo, but I'd take Maynor, possibly as a mentor to Insua, although it seems Emiliano is finally leaving.

Definately rate Fig over bridge. Doesnt make many mistakes can always hoof it forward, and with the pace we've got may be a good thing.
U guys see the City Friendlys in US? Bridge was at fault for 2 of the goals in the 2 games I saw.I know its friendlies but still not a good sign.
      I agree with El Nino
I rate Figueroa. Think this is a good sign for our team. Especially if we keep Insua behind him. LB would be fine.
but im pretty sure Insuas going and as said before above were stalling the deal until we get a replacement. I think even if it was a straight in and out with Insua going and Maynor coming in we still need cover for fullbacks and could do with a couple more. Def our weakest position on the pitch atm.
Johnson gets injured I dont really wanna see carra on the side. Sorry Jamie but ud need a few redbulls! Legend in the middle though!

i say we sign figueroa and if we cant sign another left back its not too bad. if necessary play skrtel at centre back and move agger to left back. he played well there last night.

We're meant to be a good footballing side. Trying to get past the 'hoofing' long ball days.
