He should go back to Celtic. Oh wait they ran out of money too.

Apparently nothing to do with Milner, more to do with Friedel being possibly sold to Fulham.

I disagree, most of his teams play long ball football, just look at Leicester, Villa's home record is f**king woeful and O'Neil squandered even more cash than Rafa.

The only real success he has had was with Celtic and even then that was in a sh*t-league.

To be honest I've never, ever wanted him as manager simply because of his associations with one Brian Clough.

Sorry but not a Liverpool manager.

Well he did alright at Leicester - winning 2 league cups and getting to another final. I don't think there is huge emphasis on long ball football.

And yet everytime we played them at Filbert Street, that was all they played.

Big wow about League cups, let's look at his European and league record, which in all honesty is F***ing sh*t.

Remember Villa against One of the Moscow clubs two seasons ago in the Uefa/Europa, when he sacrificed a chance of glory for a higher finish in the league, only for them to ge tbattered in Europe and then Villa fell apart towards the end of the season, as shown by the way they sh*t themselves at OT when they were two up.

As I said, he's not a Liverpool manager!!

I think the Issue was transfer money.  Lerner who owns the Cleveland Browns NFL team is trying to bring them back as contenders here in the US.  He drafted 2 pretty big College players with big contracts and is apparently putting the Villa money into the Browns.  I am a Browns supporter for 35 years and he is a sh*t owner. I hate the f**ker. Their is a huge amount of pressure on him to make the Browns a winning team again. Especially now the Lebron James left Cleveland.

He got his money when his Dad died and Inherited everything so he is a bit of a shithead.

Credit where credit's due mate! He did take Celtic to the UEFA cup final, beating Celta Vigo, Barcelona and "AHEM" Liverpool on the way there. I think he is a good manager, and will probably replace wiskey nose at the scum when he retires.

I like O'Neil.  I think he was a good coach and certainly helped bring talent to Villa.  Villa lost out.

Now theirs talk of US coach Bob Bradley getting the job.....???  I like Bradley but I dont know his first stint in Europe should be in the top league with a top ten team. He should really get his feet wet first in League 1 or maybe Championship, but certainly taking over Villa is going to be a baptism of fire.
