      Aug 15, 2010 04:58:05 am
Well new season there are players who are out playing for other clubs. As of right now the only player out on loan is Degen who is playing in Germany but as the season goes on I am sure more of the younger players will be sent to the lower divisions.

      - Degen played a full 90 at RB in a 2-1 win in the German Cup

      Players out on loan

      Phillip Degen - (Stuttgart)
      Alberto Aquilani - (Juventus)
      Nabil El Zhar - (PAOK)
      Emiliano Insúa - (Galatasaray)
      Daniel Ayala - (Hull)
      Peter Gulacsi - (Tranmere)
      Thomas Ince - (Notts County)
      Stephen Darby - (Notts County)

      With the deadline finishing today the list grew by another 2 with Insua making the move to Turkey to play for Gala while El Zhar made the move to Greece (what is with the link between our club and player going to Greece). The complete list thus far is;

      Phillip Degen (Stuttgart)
      Alberto Aquilani (Juventus)
      Nabil El Zhar (PAOK)
      Emiliano Insúa (Galatasaray)

Did Ayala go to Hull? And should their be two lists of players who will come back, and players who wont. I have a feeling Degen, Aquilani, El Zhar, and Insua won't be back. Which I think Aquilani and Insua to not come back sucks.

At the risk of causing panic...

The Championship loan window opens from 8 September to 23 November.

Might I suggest our OUT deals are far from finished at youth to reserve level.

Ayala scored tonight in Hull's 2-0 win over Derby. Apparently looked assured in defence and his goal was a bit of a scrappy one.

Here's a quote from a Hull fan on another forum:

"Ayala looked a class act, comfortable on the ball and made a few quality tackles/interceptions"

      - Daniel Ayala played a full 90 minutes for Hull City today against Burnley in what can only be described as a 4-0 buttfucking.  I don't know how responsible he was for the goals as I was watching the Champion's League but this was as good an excuse as any to use the word "buttfucking".

      - Gulacsi kept a clean sheet in Tranmere's 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers.

      - Insua played a full 90 in a 3-1 win over Istanbul BB.  Former Red, Milan Baros scored all three for Galatasaray.

      - Aquilani played 78 minutes in Juve's 4-2 win over Cagliari before being replaced by Momo Sissoko.

      - El Zhar came on in the 52nd minute in PAOK's 1-0 defeat at the hands of Xanthi.

      - Degen wasn't named in the squad for the Stuttgart game.

      Updates

      - Degen wasn't in the match squad for Stuttgart's 2-1 loss to Sotis' old club Eintracht Frankfurt.  With defender Delpierre receiving a straight red, I'd expect him to be named in next next week's fixture.

      - Aquilani started and played 80 minutes of a 0-0 draw with Rafa's Inter.  He played well and was again replaced by former Red Momo Sissoko.  The match did finish scoreless.

      - Nabil El Zhar came on the in 69th minute in PAOK's 1-0 loss to Aris Thessaloniki.  Incidentally, this is the 2nd or 3rd week in a row PAOK have finished the game a man down.

      - Daniel Ayala played a full 90 in Hull's 0-0 draw with Coventry and earned himself another yellow card.

      - Peter Gulacsi played a full 90 in Tranmere's 1-1 draw with current League One leaders, Brighton and Hove Albion.  Tranmere are currently in 21st, so here's hoping his exceptional performance (because I didn't watch the game) contributed to them getting a point and not Brighton and Hove Albion's poor performance.

      - Emiliano Insua played a full 90 in Galatasaray's shock loss to recently promoted surprise package, Karabükspor who are now 6th.  Galatasaray have sold a number of players recently and are feeling the after effects, they are currently sitting 7th on the table after this weekend (only mentioned that to pretty much kill the hopes of Arda Turan coming, not happening any time soon with things the way they are).

      - Shot-stopper Deale Chamberlaine has moved to Leeds United on a 1 month emergency loan.  With first choice keeper Kasper Schmeichel out and 2nd string Shane Higgs injuring himself in a 2-1 loss to Ipswich Town, Chamberlaine will call Leeds home for the next month.  Unsure if he'll be preferred as first choice or simply playing backup, we'll find out in a few weeks.

Worth noting seeing as the transfer board is hiding:

Some academy players in and out-

      - Marcus Giglio, who was similar to Glen Johnson in the sense he could be used at either LB or LM depending on the system, has moved permanently to The New Saints, where the best goalkeeper in the world made his debut for us 4 or 5 odd years ago.

      http://www.clarets-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/giglio_signs_for_tns_554568/index.shtml

      - Once promising defensive midfielder Sean Highdale has been released by the club following a horror run with long-term injuries which failed to see him progress at the hoped level.  Wish him all the best after the traumatic experiences he's had of late.

      - Youngster Adam Pepper (MC/AMC), has been signed by Aberyswyth Town on a permanent basis.  I find this a really strange signing for such a once lauded prospect.

      http://www.welsh-premier.com/index.php/headline-news/2646-pepper-adds-spice-to-aberystwyth-midfield (awesome headline)

      - Liverpool fan and versatile attacker Aaron King who was signed last year on a 2 year scholarship deal has been released by the club after a string of injuries which hampered his development and process.

Currently on trial with MK Dons btw: http://www.mkdons.com/page/AcademyNewsDetails/0,,10420~2108588,00.html

      - Goncalo Ribeiro, teenage Portuguese striker was poached from Belenenses FC's academy.  A little clip of him in action scoring 2 goals in the game against Sporting Lisbon's youth last season: Gonçalo Ribeiro vs SCP 2008/09 for what little it's worth.

http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&sl=pt&u=http://www.academia-de-talentos.com/artigo/2010/9/8/novo-livertuga&prev=/search%3Fq%3DGoncalo%2BRibeiro%2Bliverpool%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26client%3Dopera%26hs%3Dnlz%26rls%3Den%26prmd%3Do&rurl=translate.google.com&twu=1&usg=ALkJrhig0mOHaubm8hZKJT5AQpTZhVl-XQ (yes, it's google translated but you get the point :P)

      added some sauces

      - Also, LB and Irish U16 player of the year Robert Maloney has gone to Fulham permanently.

Probably a few I've missed/been late with (both IN and OUT), I'm sure you understand it's very hard to keep track of the young guns.  If they've received awards/accolades or have high hopes expected of them (but as we all know, that can frequently amount to nothing far too often - very rarely do you see players from the lower ranks break into the first team, so a couple of squad players and a first teamer every few years isn't bad by any means).  I TRY and keep track of them somewhat to 'monitor' their progress.

      Updates:

      - Degen wasn't featured in the match squad for Stuttgart's 2-2 draw with Schalke.  Either he's injured or they really don't rate him which isn't a good thing as they currently sit bottom of the Bundesliga.

      - Aquilani started against Lecce and played 76 minutes before he was subbed off with the score at 3-0. He contributed by scoring the opening goal.  Match finished 4-0 to Juventus.

Goal Aquilani Juventus vs Lecce (4-0) 7^ Giornata Serie A (17-10-10)

      - Nabil El Zhar came on in the 68th minute for PAOK against Liverpool Old Boys FC Panathinaikos.  However, PAOK slumped to their 3rd successive league loss in a row by the same margin of 1-0.

      - Daniel Ayala picked up another yellow card in Hull's 1-1 draw against Leicester City.  He did however play the full 90.

      - Peter Gulacsi played the full 90 for Tranmere in a 3-0 loss to Brentford with the first goal coming from the penalty spot.  Tranmere Rovers are currently bottom of League One which is good because it means he's getting lots of practice but bad because we all like to see the 3rd best team in Liverpool do well.  Let's hope Gulacsi inspires them to a 19th place finish!!  Tranmere have also extended Gulacsi's loan for a further month:

Tranmere Rovers extend Gulacsi loan deal from Liverpool

Tranmere have extended the emergency loan deal for Liverpool goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi by a second month.

First choice keeper Gunnar Nielsen, on loan from Manchester City, remains unavailable with a shoulder injury.

Manager Les Parry said: "Peter is a quality goalkeeper so I'm pleased to be able to keep him at the club for another month while Gunnar is injured.

"He has done well for us since he has come back, has a great attitude and is a good professional."

      http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/t/tranmere_rovers/9106150.stm?

Great to hear about his attitude and professional approach to things.

      - A brace from former Red Milan Baros wasn't enough for Frank Rijkaard's Galatasaray this week.  They went down for the second week in a row, this time to Ankaragücü 4-2.  Emiliano Insua played the full 90 minutes.

      - Deale Chamberlaine wasn't selected in Leeds United's squad for the win over Middlesbrough.    I think the Deale Chamberlaine "emergency GK loan" was a cheeky way of Leeds taking a closer look at him.  Either way despite not playing, there is still some Reds related news to report: Gordon Strachan set a stellar example of how a manager failing to live up to expectations should walk away from his post.

      Updates:

      - Two games for Stuttgart this week, a 1-0 win over Getafe in the Europa League midweek and a 2-0 win over St. Pauli in the league.  Degen not in the match squad for either prompting me to believe he's either injured or highly unrated.  Upon further investigation, I found an article dated about 2 weeks ago that had said "he's only just returned to training again after a six-week lay-off due to a bout of acute glandular fever".

      - Aquilani not selected for the midweek Europa League game against Red Bull Salzburg which finished 1-1.  He did however get a full 90 minutes in a 0-0 draw with Bologna.  As if getting Christian Poulsen wasn't punishment enough, Alberto Aquilani was voted MOTM and even made the Serie A team of the week for his performance.

      - Nabil El Zhar earned himself a start in the midweek Europa League fixture against Villareal, he played 85 minutes before coming off.  PAOK lost 1-0 for the fourth time in a row and their entire back four earned themselves yellow cards in the process.  He was however picked to start against Panionis over the weekend in a game they won 3-1, El Zhar came off in the 65th minute with the score at 3-0.  Hooray for PAOK for breaking their 1-0 loss streak.  Incidentally, Olympiakos lead the Greek league from Panathinaikos (where 3 former Reds are playing) by 4 points with 7 games gone.  If Olympiakos win the title this year, they'll owe us a further £1.5m from the Riera transfer.

      - Two losses for Hull this week in which Daniel Ayala played a full 90 minutes and picked up a yellow card in both matches.  Firstly a 1-0 loss to Sheffield United and then a 2-1 loss to Portsmouth.

      - Peter Gulacsi has single-handedly (well I like to think he did anyway) rescued Tranmere Rovers from bottom spot on the League One ladder.  A 4-1 win over Walsall this week has helped move them up into 22nd, as expected he played the full 90 minutes for them.

      - Insua was an unused substitute in a 0-0 draw with fellow Turkish giants Fenerbahce.  Maybe new coach Gheorghe Hagi doesn't rate him, feel free to send him back this way if that's the case!!

      - Deale Chamberlaine wasn't selected in Leeds United's squad for the 2-1 loss to Leicester City.

Notts County Sign Liverpool Youngsters Darby & Ince on Loan
Paul Ince expects to follow up the signing of Sam Sodje with the capture of his son Thomas Ince and right-back Stephen Darby.

Ince, who succeeded Craig Short as Notts County manager last week, snapped up defender Sodje on Monday morning and is now looking to complete a hat-trick of signings.

The former England international, who managed MK Dons last season, has named 18-year-old Liverpool midfielder Thomas Ince and former Swindon right-back Darby as imminent captures.

      Fresh faces
"I've just brought my son in from Liverpool, not because he's my son but because he's a very good player," Ince told Sky Sports News HD.

"I've brought in Stephen Derby, the right-back, who spent all last year at Swindon and played in the play-off final.

"So fresh faces, a bit of youth. You've got to have that mixture of experience and youth. That's the cocktail I want at this club."

Ince is delighted with new signing Sodje, insisting the opportunity to tie down the former Charlton defender was too good to miss.

"He scored against us last year when I was at Milton Keynes, (he was) very good in both boxes," he said.

"So when he became available he was someone we couldn't pass up on.

"He's aggressive, he's a leader, he's strong. And it's competition. It's competition for places and that's what you've got to have at these football clubs."

Ince is unlikely to risk Sodje at Hartlepool on Tuesday evening as the stopper strives for match fitness, but revealed he could play a part in FA Cup action against Gateshead at the weekend.

      Too early
"I think we'll assess how he is today, he's going to train today," added Ince.

"He hasn't played for six weeks. Maybe it might be a little bit too early for him.

"Maybe the Gateshead game on Saturday might be one where we can lightly introduce him."

      http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11768_6481135,00.html

Its a shame to see Darby out on loan again I was hoping in might of featured a few times for us this season.

Great for Ince to get a chance elsewhere. Would have preferred to have kept Darby but if it means he gets a chance to impress elsewhere and progress, all the better for LFC.

I'm depressed we lost Benayoun and Aquilani think about Benny serving us on a wing, he would have been capable more so than who we've been trying. He was a better attacking threat then we remember.

Former red Sissoko starts also. He hasn't changed - brilliant tackler, can't pass to a man a yard away.

Side note, watch Krasic. Wish we signed him - 12m for something for him is peanuts. Superb winger.

What is Ince classed as now? Is he on loan to Notts County?

Don't think so mate.  Darby's gone back but not Tom.

Ince senior is trying to get KK to agree to send him back on loan. At the minute the club are refusing to send him anywhere till he signs a new contract and senior is saying he won't sign one unless Thomas a) gets promoted to the 1st team squad or b) is allowed back to them on loan.
So I assume its a stalemate

Daddyo wants more money for his son.

Strange that Pacheco signed a new deal so I gather we offer the youth good contracts.
