think the guy has deserved the deal, he played ok when Pepe was out and is a reasonable back up.  His wages are probably probably low too, which is a bonus

Brad did alright in the games he played this season so I'm glad that he's been rewarded with a new contract.

Wonder whether it was just co-incidence that Pepe has looked in much better form since his return from injury, or whether he now realises that he's not indispensable ?

The club very rarely reveals that info

Yeah, but generally papers catch on like with Agger's, Skrtel's, and Suso's.

Or they just make it up like the lying cu*ts that they are.

So will Brad's deal be included in our transfer budget?

I thought he was our man of the match as did a lot of other posters,it is good to have a second keeper with his qualities as backup to Reina.

He certainly didn't inspire much confidence from me, couldn't keep a hold of the ball at all.

      Very true AZP  :gt-happyup:

Didn't have much to do yesterday, he must have been freezing, but what he did do was all good stuff.

Proving himself capable. That's the most important thing. We all love Pepe but he hasn't been himself this season and you wonder if he doesn't improve, then Jones could be a suitable replacement...or maybe we'll splash the cash on some other guy.

I've always argued for Gulacsi to be our no.2 keeper. Whilst Gulacsi hasn't had a chance to show why he should be no.2, Brad Jones has done it for him.

Was less than impressed with his performance today, possibly cost us at least on goal. The defence in general was of no help whatsoever.

No, not his finest hour by any means. Brad had a howler today.

Apparently was playing with a AC joint strain and had an injection before the match to cope with the pain.

Still doesn't escape from the fact that he had an absolute nightmare. Not sure if the challenge he took un-nerved him, there's never an excuse for that display though and should put to bed any of the silly calls for him to take the No. 1 shirt off Pepe, the gulf in class between them is enormous.

I like Brad though so not prepared to be overly harsh on him for performing how he always has in my eyes.

On that show the lad is in the first stages of his apprenticeship, the very idea of him having the qualification to take over from Pepe is ludicrous, Jones isn't as good as the worst performance we've seen from Pepe.
