Would love to see Dani start. Ideally, this would be my team:

      Reina

      Johnson, Carra, Agger, Konchesky

      Maxi, Raul Meireles, Lucas, Jovanovic

      Gerrard
      Torres.

However, more than likely that Dani and Meireles won't play so i would put Lucas in for Meireles and probably see Gerrard drop into the midfield and Ngog being played upfront with Nando.

Looking forward to the game now. No messing around Liverpool. Go, get the result and leave on a good note.

Its a massive game for us today and its a tough place to go, but as in alot of these type of games you can make the going so much easier by showing up from the start and making a statement of intent by having a real go from the off. And with  an early goal youll quieten the crowd. The last thing we want is to start sloppily and get their hopes up. At the moment im not sure what to expect from the lads as no doubt there will be a few new starters so im just hoping that Raul and Konchesky get into it quickly. We need a big game from Stevie today, theres been good signs of late that hes coming back to his normal level. And if Nando can notch another it will boost everyone. Like  i said its an important game in a lot of ways we need these points today especially as were off to the Old Toilet next week.

Indeed, I'd don't really care how we get 3 points, I'd be happy with a 1-0 win in the 94th minute deflected off of Poulsen's 3rd nipple. People are just saying that they think a win is more likely if we play attacking football and take the game to B'ham, not unreasonable.

      Come on Liverpool!

Can't wait for this one, met a Birmingham fan in the pub last night and we were arguing over this fixture. He still hadn't forgiven N'Gog for his diving antics last time.

I'm sure Ngog wouldnt have forgiven the Birmingham player had he stayed on his feet and had his leg snapped in half. If see a steam train going for my ankles id jump out of the way too. They seem to miss this glaring point.

      We are confident. Yes?

      Well the stats say different.

      Birmingham

      • Birmingham have gone 16 home games without a Premier League defeat.

      • The Blues have scored two headed goals this season - just one fewer than they did in the whole of the 2009-10 league season.

      • There were only 32 goals scored at St Andrew's in 2009-10, fewer than at any other Premier League ground.

      Liverpool

      • Liverpool have only won one of their last 10 Premier League away matches.

      • The Reds have only scored eight goals in their last 13 league away games and half of those were netted in one match (v Burnley).

      • The only team that striker Fernando Torres has faced more than once and not scored against in the Premier League is Birmingham (twice).

      But stats can be changed.

I reckon this could be a tricky one so i just hope a win of any kind for us.

      I'd start with this:

                                       Reina

      Johnson         Carragher         Agger         Konchesky

      Maxi            Lucas              Gerrard         Jovanovic

                                         Babel
                                 Torres

Bench: Jones, Pacheco, Skrtel, Ngog(?), Kelly, Poulsen (?), Meireles (?)

Not sure if the (?) ones are fit enough to make the bench or not yet.

Anyway, that's not a bad team considering we've got Cole and Kuyt unavailable.

I think we'll win 1-0 with Torres on the scoresheet, come on redmen! YNWA.
