And people complain we need a new goalie because Karius misread a ball and went off the post

Hmmm, odd to see Napoli's goal disallowed, even after viewing VAR they deemed it to be offside :S

Well, Spurs and Leicester put on one hell of an end to the season.

      True.

See there could be a bit of a sh*t storm brewing from that game. Read that when Lazio were leading 2-1, De Vrij gave away a stupid penalty. De Vrij is set to leave Lazio on a free, to sign for Inter, who now have CL football at the expense of Lazio.
Might be nothing in it but wouldn't be the first time there has been match fixing in Italy.

Yeah. Strange decision to play him in the first place player can’t win. Has a stormer and the inter fans dislike him before he’s kicked a ball for them. Does what he does and makes a stupid mistake that is punished and the lazio fans think he’s played them

Tricky situation for the manager, but such an important game he'd have wanted his strongest team in the hope professionalism wouldn't be an issue.
Who knows if De Vrij was looking to throw the game, but it's as you say, De Vrij can't come out of it looking good whatever the result.

I reckon he did it on purpose.

Well, it's a much better scenario for him to piss off his current team than his next team. Chances are he'd have probably just signed a new contract at Lazio or gone to another team in the CL if Inter had missed out so whether it's on purpose or not, he'd have been playing in the CL next season regardless

I'm just disappointed that Lucas has just missed out.

Reading this thread made me go watch the highlights of Lazio-Inter. Reckless tackle by DeVrij and some will rightfully wonder if there was a hidden intention behind it. One player i like in Lazio is Savic. Good size and skill. Would be a great Can replacement, and missing out on CL who knows if he could be had.

That was a real shame. Watched a couple of Lazio games this season and I have to say they were entertaining - Inzaghi has done good things with them. Would have been good to see them in the Champions League again and possibly meet up with Lucas once more. Really competitive season Serie A even if the final outcomes were disappointing.
