Look I know he's not one of our better players but I don't know what he's done to warrant the abuse he gets on this and other forums.

Lets just have a team of Voronins, then we'll win league 1 or 2 as that's the calibre of the player he is, its no fault of his he's just not good enough even as back up for a top 4 side in the premiership.

Voronin has been given a run in the team, something all players say they want, he's had every opportunity to impress, and for us he cannot produce. When he went to Germany he scored something like eleven goals in ex amount of games, whatever it was it was a good return, here with us he hasn't produced at all, his goals for tally is none (I think) and he must go. If he made goals you could say , well there is that, but the guy does absolutely sweet f.a.

I think the lad is way out of his depth but hes not moaning and has proved in other leagues he can be useful. He can play a bit and hold it up plus he was free. Gamble didnt really pay off but seems to have a gud attitude. Loan period shud have lifted him but doesnt seem to have carried any form with him at all. Back to Hertha in Jan would be best for all concerned really but im not too down on the lad hes trying hard at a new club under severe pressure and giving us all hes probably capable of.

For a club like Liverpool I think hes a marginal squad player, used for carling cup and sub appearances only. Apart from that he gets found out quickly.

The abuse is over the top, but I don't think he should be playing anymore. His confidence seems to have completely gone, and for that reason imo he shouldn't play.

I remember when he first joined the ukraine coach didn't pick him because he was over weight i can't believe I defended him ha.Johnson has a better goalscoring record than him ffs.

Liverpool's much-criticised striker Andriy Voronin wants the chance to prove his worth to the Anfield club.

The Ukraine striker spent last season on loan with Hertha Berlin, but has failed to score in eight games for Liverpool this season. But he says: "Last season was good for me because I wanted to play more matches. I went to Hertha, played a lot of games and scored goals. I was happy there.

"But I always wanted to come back to Liverpool because they are a massive club.

"It is very important for me to be here. I've spoken with Rafa and I want to take my chance, work hard and play for Liverpool. I hope in the next game I play, I can give the Liverpool supporters more."

Tear have you not watched Voronin playing for us, the difference between Voronin and Lucas is Voronin is 30 while Lucas is only 22, Lucas has a good attitude Voronin doesn't.

voronin's not liverpool quality although i wouldn't go so far as to say he's not premier league quality.

He got three starts in a row not so long ago, and I thought he lacked confidence and any form, if he gets another chance he can count himself a lucky man. With an injury list like the one we have, who knows he just may get another chance, I hope he will pay back Rafa with a couple of goals if he does get on, he will owe him, big time.
