I dare the gobs***e to come back over to Liverpool to 'reconstitute' the board.

      He'll get lynched.

And where's George Gillett these days? Locked up in his basement?

great reading, those articles and the related links down the bottom of the page. bought the red sox in 2002 and ended a mighty drought with two titles in three years. and he seems like a genuine "i'll manage the board, you manage the football" kind of guy.

Has there been any date set for the court? I would love to sit in the public gallery!

I think this is a stalling ploy by H&G - they will lose and appeal as they try to refinance... What amazes me is that if he wins, where does he go from there? If its about money for him then going bust wont help, if its ma lace then it could cost him a lot more, and he will only end up in trouble!

Court date is sometime next week.  If he wins he has to pay RBS in full by next Friday, if he can't or doesn't RBS take over and sell to Henry anyway.  Basically he can't win.

Think it's decided on the day Shabs.  It's the PL decision "fit & proper person" rule that will take 48hrs.

The court case is to be heard tomorrow in the High Court in London.

As Gillet is bankrupt i think Hicks believes the papers they signed with Broughton are now illegal.

Courtesy of Resilvo in the takeover thread:

      Liverbird 2010 @ RAWK;

"Well it gets even more interesting Financial Experts on SSN then NESV will buy the debt off RBS if Hicks tries to block the sale, then he will have to deal with them instead of the banks and they will pull the rug from under him.

Barclays owner Bob Diamond told NESV to buy us."

This just gets better and better! Grin

What did Hicks hire Broughton for?

      What has Broughton done?

Game over. And dont forget theres still an option that nesv could buy thye debt from the bank if they want to

Hicks is fooked. Those written undertakings to RBS are the nail in his coffin.

Lets go to court c**t I want to see you lose this battle and for aadded pleasure I want to see you keel over on the coutroom floor in pain ye pr*ck

We will win the battle. That's more of a certainty now.

IF by worst of luck we lost the battle. Then hicks has to raise 300 million for refinancing which is highly unlikely and ultimately RBS will takeover the club and will seek a buyer. NESV is already selected. so at the end the club will go to the new owners.

Remember Bamba alluding to Huang's rocket?  Well, apparently it was fired and scored a direct hit on George Gillette, hence why he's now bankrupt.
