What do you reckon's going on with the gaffer then?

How old is he - about 47? I suppose when you earn shed-loads of cash then saving up for a flashy sports car isn't the normal way to go through the mid-life crisis?

I would just like to point out:

1. The 'goatee'
2. Wearing jeans and a jumper at the Wrexham game

What's this all about? Is he trying to do a Jose and get some modelling contracts?  Has he got a woman on the side?

Anybody with any information on this matter of high importance..?

Hey don't knock the mid life crisis, it great, earn good money, no debts, kids all gone( not so good when they come back to borrow money) lots of holls, lots of football matches.

Maybe, he's actually found his inner self here in Liverpool, hence the relaxing attitude to his appearance? Which could mean, that he'll be here for a vary long time....

If anyone bumps into him at Creamfields with glow sticks in his hands though, I think that's when it's time to worry.

I've got a goatee and had it for years.......Rafa is just copying me!!!!  Personally think it suits him and makes him look harder and less the spanish waiter tag that the press and away fans caught hold of last year.......at least he can grow a proper one unlike 'stubble' face Moriniho

Personally I thought Rafa had borrowed Dudek's goatee out of his locker before he left for Real, and accidently got it stuck to his face after an incident in a kebab shop

I see at the unveiling of Babel and Yossi he is still sticking with it.

Hehe poor Rafa! I think he looks good with the goatee, makes his face look a bit slimmer, and I think he looks younger with it, but that's my opinion. Although when I first saw him I did laugh.

Just heard on Liverpoolfc.tv that the goatee was grown at the request of the missus, and that he intends to keep it untill Liverpool are beaten in the Prem this year. So with a bit of luck he will be able to tuck it into the top of his undies come May 2008.
