And the court case is now RBS v Hicks. They are the ones being represented in court, so your concerns over the court costs should be laid to rest.

I still hope the judge awards them costs! Schadenfreude would take on a whole new meaning

"Our objective is to stabilise the club and ultimately return Liverpool FC to its rightful place in English and European football, successfully competing for and winning trophies."

If they put their money where their mouth is, then they'll be more than welcome!

RBS want to sell. Once they get their money that repays the loans they have no other say, and they have no more to claim from us than the loans held against the clubs. That is all. So the timing of the deal doesn't advantage a bank over us or vice versa.

Regardless of how much potential new owners are offering, only the amount on the loans will go to RBS. The rest goes to the Yanks.

The current offer is solely to pay off the banks and remove all acquired debt, leaving nothing in the offer for H&G to take home. Meaning they leave with a 140m pound hole in their pockets. Each.

The Asia and NESV bids were just as good as each other, but the deciding factor was their record and you cannot question their commitment to each of their teams. All have been set up to run independently and provide each with a sound financial step. It's what we need.

Nothing along the lines of their existence as an investment group suggests they are here to f**k about.
Very well articulated. I'm writing from canada and chuckling at the posts questioning John Henry/NESV's integrity. A little bit like North American's questioning Richard Branson if he bought Air Canada or American Airlines. Same quality/class/focus these two entrepeneurs have. Mind you, surprise, surprise, they are Capitalists'; they are in this venture to make money, not lose money or get a paltry return on their investment so that LFC becomes great again. Like everyone on this site, let's hope they make a sh*t load of dollaaahhhs and "Pool rule Europe once again, just like Mr Shankly's era...

Yankee have a new stadium - for which they are paying through massively increased prices, I expect NESV would do the same if they built a new stadium for us

The average price of a baseball ticket has gone from $18.66 in 2001 to $26.74 in 2010 a rise of less than 50%, while NESV over the same time period have made there beloved fan pay nearly 100%

People love LFC enough to pay it, reality check. The new owners will need to recoup money somehow for any proposed new or redeveloped stadium, youd like to think if we start playing well then that will come form increased shirt sales etc ( STILL outselling everyone else despite playing sh*te) but if increased ticket prices are the only way, I think its a small price to pay to oust these two tw*ts and see some stability.

Seems to me some Liverpool fans need too realise we are not on the 1980s anymore.
