In all seriousness, I would absolutely love to see Broughton stay on. His actions the last few weeks have been tremendous, and he truly has earned the respect of the club's supporters. I doubt he'll stay, but it'd be nice if he did.

Broughton in an advisory role if not the chairman.

I think JD & Kenny should be co-chairmen.

And each of the staff here should have a seat on the Board

Broughton - so very nearly screwed up completely. This sale was mishandled and make no doubt about it. Should have been completed at least 6 weeks ago and very nearly wasn't today so no thanks.

Purslow - totally untrustworthy. Since his appointment we've seen him: making secret press briefings against the team and the manager, spouting downright lies on behalf of the cancer, stabbing Rafa in the back, jumping ship only when it was obvious the cancer was going down, interfering in team matters, pursuing vanity purchases in the transfer market etc. Even F***ing Parry was better than him.

Kenny - I'll agree with you there.

Thommo - can't see what he would bring to the table over and above what Kenny does.

Evans - see Thommo.

I'd love to see Kenny on the Board and to be honest, after the way they held it together the last few days I would be okay for Broughton, Purslow, and Ayres to stay on at least for a year.

You only have to look on the previous page to realise it is very well known and public that Terry Leahy is a lifelong blue and advisor to the board.  Besides that, if you read into how Tesco have allegedly avoided paying tax then you'll realise that they are very welcome to him.

I'm not the only one saying it. It's all worked out well in the end, but I don't think he handled it well initially.

At the end of the day he's a Chelsea fan through and through and should not be considered for any kind of permanent role on the board in my opinion.

That's fair enough (your comment) about him being Chelsea through and through as to why you think he shouldn't be LFC chairman. But I think he has done a sterling job since he has been here amidst all the 'he'll sell Torres to Chelsea' scaremongering.

We need professionals, specialists in their repected fields. Not a load of sentimental crap about players old or new for that matter. What would Carragher bring to the board? Carragher for manager maybe, but not a board post?
