We absolutely are in a bad state because we are going to lose a sh*t ton of money without Champions League. We already operate on a shoe string budget for transfers. Taking away the extra Cl money is going to really set us back. But you go ahead and live with your head buried in JWH’s ass. Things must look better from up there.

I’m pretty sure the club will be fine , been through far worse before and get through it

One season could have years of damage. You don't understand how fast football moves these days.

Out of topic the decision to sell Mane was correct, apparently he punched his teamate Sane and was being disruptive to the team.

And one season without European football could give the squad time to reset and go again

It doesn't work anymore this not 2012. In 2023 if you don't spend you are left behind, Arsenal changed their mode so why can't we do the same?

So where does the money come from so that you can see the club spend more than it makes ?

Arsenal have taken out loans that will need ti be repaid at some point

Had we invested properly last summer or in previous windows when it was abundantly clear Ox and Keita were a disaster we might not have dropped out of the top 4 and that could literally end up being the difference in affording a player such as Bellingham, who may now end up at PL rival, thereby raising the bar for success even higher. It was a bad business call and a bad sporting call.

Here's a f*cking novel idea. Why don't FSG use some of their own money to invest in the club and pay themselves back from the proceeds of the £3bn they will eventually receive. They never said they would do that? So f*cking what.

How much money do you think they have just sitting in a bank 🤷‍♂️

And which person from FSG ? Henry ? James ? Redbird ?

Joyce said that the new investors won't change the philosophy of the club when it comes to transfers,  so in other words the new investors  money is going to FSG pockets to buy a new NBA team or whatever sporting project they want.

Serious question how are you not angry ? You were pushing for Bellingham as well and sharing news so you obviously wnated him here. Don't you feel deep down inside that we've been played and its absolutely unacceptable what is happening right now ? Don't you ever feel worried that Bellingham to City is going to make us impossible to compete with them ? Are you happy about a top 4 finish next season ?

Joyce is close to the club he's not some random Twitter ITK. He gets briefed the by the club and yes some of those things might not be true.

Why would I be angry ?

If he doesn’t arrive then what’s the point in getting angry

It seems to be a new generation that throw their toys out about other transfer rumours. You are the perfect example- reacting to everything despite previous history showing that most don’t have a clue about the club

We didn’t need to have “Bellingham” type players to win the league and CL before ? Why now

The likes of Henderson , Gini , etc we’re not world class at their peak but did the job that Klopp looks for in the midfield

Talk about trying to manage expectations.  You were here not so long ago saying how you expected to see Bellingham signed.
Seems like your goal posts are shifting.  Or do you still expect it?

We won one PL and one CL. Make no mistake, that is brilliant.

But we're miles off that form now.
And even at our peak were pipped a couple of times in the PL by Citeh.

Klopp was told he'd be backed in the window.
Every dog on the street knows he wants Bellingham.
Just need PSG to make good their on their word, and back the manager.

The window isn’t even open yet and people have it been done and dusted

How the hell can we judge the signings before they arrive

Klopp was spot on when he said some will not be happy with what we bring in because for some it will never be enough

We could spend £300mil and some would say it should be £400mil

Christ let’s at least wait until we see what actually happens

People are just reacting to rumours that we're out of the Bellingham race.

Obviously nothing is confirmed, but can see why people would be pretty upset, after FSG's comments about backing the manager.

      But agree, let's see.

As regards commenting on signings before they arrive, it's a forum.
Can recall people having doubts about Arthur before he arrived - and other people saying give him time.
Sometimes initial impressions though are correct.

No one knows the situation on Bellingham - Klopp himself could have asked to move away and look at other options.  It’s something he did with Werner as an example

If Klopp felt he wasn’t being backed then he would walk away or not sign a new contract

The one thing I have learned over the last 6/7 years is that so much stuff goes on in the background and none of us know about it until the club want to let us know

The list of players we have been “interested” in is vast and those journalists have dismissed so many players that have ended up being at the club. Until a bid actually goes in then they are all fishing.

I have no doubt that come august multiple players that Klopp wanted will be at the club

Oooohhhhh. There it is. I have hit a nerve, I was wondering when you'd trot out the old "I sit in the stands for every game" line. I don't think I've seen you mention it today.

I may be "just some internet fan" but at least I don't go to sleep each night wanking to a picture of John Henry while clutching  my NESV/FSG halfy-half scarf.

Only LiP is allowed to speculate, the rest of us have to wait until the official website confirms any news story, then we are allowed to discuss it.
