Buzzing now Reds, I've got a feeling, had it all week that we're just going to win this. I think it will be one of those season changing performances where we bust out from the blocks right from the off and take it to Chelsea.

The prospect of Johnson on the right is exciting me... but then I keep getting nervous that it won't actually happen... or that he has been put there to tag team Ashley Cole with Carra...

Some say win this and we'll go 9th, that should give the boys a good reason to beat Chelsea.

      Or is it possibly
      Reina
      Carra Sktel Soto
      Johnson     Lucas        Konchesky
      Meireles
      Gerrard    Maxi
      Torres
Hope not. 3 at the back is rubbish. And we'd get destroyed.

      Some wrong.

Some say we will go 9th if we win.

A subtle touch of realism eh? If we outplay them I reckon John is instilling a lot of belief in the squad.

As JD said, we go 9th. Hopefully City win, or a draw even with WBA.

Had a dream last night that we won this 4-1.

I don't usually dream of footy, I prefer dreaming of naked women  ??? but, as far as dreaming of men in shorts goes, I hope this one comes true.

I'm not all that confident. And that's because all this season, in my view we've played about two or three games with an urgency and intention to win. All the rest we have been pretty square and unimaginative. We play like that against Chelsea then we are gonna become very vulnerable very quickly.

We need big players to step up to the mark today. If we get stuck in and defend well, I think we can come away with three points. But getting stuck in and defending well has not been something we have been great at under Roy.

      Come on you reds!!

If Newcastle get at least a point, we'd be 10th.  They are 1-0 up atm.

The result is all that matters. If it's flucky 1-0 or a deserved win,it's down
to the player's on the pitch to show their worth. Let them play their game
to their strenght's and not think about''Chelsea maybe playing badly'' on
the day as our ''MANAGER'' said pre- match.

Let's just win 6-0 and go 5th.  Simple.

      My fears too.

Blackburn was a decent performance (albeit against a sh*t side) but we were nervous towards the end.

Bolton was dismal - moment of magic.

Performance against Napoli was exceptionally shoddy, thank god Gerrard came on and had a stormer.

I just don't think we have any chance of fluking it today if the performance is not there.  They need to be tactically spot on, and they need to go for it today.  Our defence isn't good enough to try and soak up Chelsea pressure and hit them on the counter.

Think Res posted it earlier. Rumoured eleven. Johnson on the wing. Roy does not feel Johnson is the answer to his right back problem but might be the answer to his right wing problem.

If Newcastle get a draw and WBA lose, we need to win 9-0 to get 5th... that would be nice though ;D
