Awesome game, good to see us score in second half even though we were ready to sit back and defend 45 minutes. MOM Meireles for me !

I'd like to be able to come here and say that two successive 3-0 home wins gives me some optimism, or that we've played really well... but to be honest... we haven't... we did not really dominate the game, we just had better players that created and took a couple of chances in the first half.  After that, an understrength Villa side were never really in the game - same with the West Ham game, we scored three and coasted.  I'd be happy to coast every game 3-0 but you just can't do that when you come up against strong or determined opposition.

Good win yes, against a very poor Villa, but I'll happily take those three points. And well done Reina.

Thought Lucas was M.O.T.M. again for me. So onward and upwards we go.

All i'm going to say is that i dont think we should get too carried away about the result, we need to finally start pushing on and improving. Improving greatly IMO because we should have well and truly killed this game off.

Saying that, it was a good performance so well done lads!

I enjoyed this evening.
Many of the players stepped up in the absence of some of the bigger names.
Maybe sometimes the superstars are a distraction to being a team.

Secondly very happy with that result. I liked how we didn't completely sit back in the second half, something we need to be seeing more of.

And thirdly I'm loving Meireles and Lucas together. Lucas has been a beast this season and Meireles is really starting to show his true potential.

I gave motm to Ngog. Thought he was superb up top with Babel. Lucas and Meireles were excellent in the middle aswell.
Lucas would be my 2nd for motm, he's my potn (player of the season ) so far.

Nice comfortable win. But alot has to be said about Reina's save at 2-0. Might have turned out different, but it never and 3-0 doesn't flatter us atall.

Let's build on this with the easiest run of fixtures coming up that probably any side could ask for in this league
