Even if it was a good idea, does anyone actually think Roy would have the bottle to tell Stevie hes putting him out there when we all know Gerrard would not be very happy doing it.
The way I see it is. Lucas is a good player yes. I have become to respect him.
Is he in our top two central midfielder category? No.
So why are we trying to shift our best player out of position.
When we buy a decent winger and striker to play up with nando.
I see the number one pairing in the middle as Mereiles and Gerrard.. Lucas is a squad player.
