Thrilled to bits for the likes of Jones, Wilson, Shelvey and Eccleston, but what on earth has Pacheco done to only get a spot on the bench, I really can't understand Roy's tactics where Dani is concerned, bet he's well pissed off.

Anyway Good luck to the team tonight, hope they do the business and finish off the group with a convincing win.

Are we serial hoofers? I've noticed since Carragher has been out we have hoofed it a lot.
On here basically Roy can't win. If he'd played Torres and Co we'd shout that they aren't needed. so he plays a team that hasn't played much, brings ina load of youth, and still gets moaned at. There isn't really any line up he could have done that would have made anyone on here happy.

May be pushing our luck a bit with that line-up actually, but we'll see how it pans out.

Good to see some other players getting a chance, though I too don't understand what Pacheco has to do to get a start.

It is fairly obvious Jovanovic doesn't have a future at the club beyond the summer now NESV are here. So why is he starting a game like this in place of a player like Pacheco who is 19, desperate to show what he can do and recently signed a new contract? Some people will say we're putting him the shop window but I don't buy that. Even if Jovanovic scores a hat trick tonight we still won't get more than £3million for him.

Sick for Dani, bet when he does come on he'll play right side which is head scratching for me.

Why so? I agree that Pacheco should be starting but how is it an awful team selection for a competition we're already through in. There's a lot of youth playing and our supposed ' big' players are rested. What would you have done differently???
