Hey guys dunno whether this has been posted before so i'm sorry if I am repeating but here it is:
Speculation that Fabio Capello could replace beleaguered Rafa Benitez as Inter Milan reached fever pitch last night after it emerged the England coach will be in Abu Dhabi next week for the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Italian, who has won Serie A titles with AC Milan, Roma and Juventus, was heavily linked with the job in the summer after Jose Mourinho's departure to Real Madrid, but Inter president Massimo Moratti instead plumped for Benitez after the Spaniard was ousted from his post at Liverpool.
However, things have not gone according to plan for the European and Italian giants so far this season as the players struggle to come to terms with Benitez's tactics and change of style.
They currently languish fifth in the Serie A table some ten points behind city-rivals and leaders AC Milan, while their misery was compounded after they finished second in their Champions League group to Tottenham Hotspur meaning they face a potential difficult second-round draw.
The writing is now very much on the wall for Benitez, with many believing that Capello could be sworn in if the Nerazzurri do not return to Milan with the Club World Cup title next week.
Benitez’s team will play either Al Wahda from the United Arab Emirates or Seongnam Chunma of South Korea in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
Provided they win that match, they will then meet either South American champions, Internacional or Congolese outfit TP Mazembe, who beat Pachuca 1-0 this evening to book their spot in the final four.
Were Benitez to be sacked and Capello brought in at the San Siro, Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is the bookmakers favourite to take the reigns of the Three Lions.
Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce is another who has been mentioned and Capello admitted this week that those are the two English managers who have impressed him the most.
“In this moment Allardyce and Redknapp are doing very well because they have different players, they have good style and get results with them.
“It is important for a coach to understand which type of players they manage and find the best style.”
