Not saying he is Pepe at Madrid but he is strong in the air and will batter our front men

He's not half as bad as people make him out to be.  Solid defender who does the job with minimal fuss, not first team material at a club like Liverpool but certainly worthy of a being a reliable backup IMO.

I'm not too fussed about Agger and Aurelio not playing in this one.... seems that Roy is resting them for the FA Cup clash against Manure this weekend.  Also, good to see Cole given a start with the rest of the first team.  Hopefully he can find some form and help jump-start his and the teams season!

Tell me how is Agger not playing and Skrtle is? That is quite an offence to Dan.

No, it is not.  Agger is just coming back from injury, he played at the weekend and we have a massive trip to Utd on Sunday?  Roy is crap, we all know it, but it was a good decision to rest Agger and Aurelio for tonight's match (assuming he plays them both Sunday, if he doesn't he is just a tw*t).

I really have low hopes for the match against Man Utd though. I shouldn't but I do.

Apparently the owl asked Comolli to be there tonight to try and entice diouf back cos he "wead somewhere that he was an LFC legend" and that "he cweated some memowable nights at Anfield.

       :f_tongueincheek:

I'm unsure about tonight, the heart and the head are at conflict.

ALL I want is a good hearty performance and a win.

What I don't want is another night of anger and ironic laughter at how bad the owl is.

Looking at our team I expect us to struggle again, if Agger is fit enough to be on the bench he is fit enough to play.

Konchesky in a Liverpool shirt I was hoping I'd never have to see that again

The team selected is fine.  If we don't win this game at a canter, it will be due to our tactics and style of football, not the players on the pitch.

I really hope N'Gog gets a few chances tonight and absolutely buries them.

Should be 5 or 6 this one, but with Roy, I'd take 3 points any way we can get them!

      Still...

Come on mate, give him a break. We go easy on Nando when he's playing sh*t because we blame Woy's system yet Ngog gets nothing but abuse. He's not an amazing player yet but he has shown promise and until we can buy someone better, he deserves a bit of support.

Knew he would play Paul, I think he gave him the game off at home to Bolton because of fans reactions to him against Wolves.

He was sh*t under Rafa and sh*t under Roy. To me that makes him sh*t. Goals against c league European sides is not impressive.

As for Torres - the tactics aren't working in his favour but at the same time he should be still be doing a lot better. He should pull his finger out.
