With any manager in charge, and any of our first XI this is likely to be an exceptionally difficult fixture.

It makes it all the more bizarre that he chose to rest players against Blackburn.

Maybe Roy will survive, and then maybe his old mate may throw him a lifeline in order for him to have another couple of weeks at sending us towards relegation?

And I don't think Spearing will make an appearance, he's only just returned back to training.

I don't have much hopes for this match no matter the manager.

For me the choice was made to lose it when Roy decided to let Gerrard, Johnson, Torres and Lucas play 90mn in last match, when they looked tired since the beginning.

I don't see them managing to give more than an half decent performance in one half, and I don't think we have good enough fresh players to replace them (Mereiles will perhaps be back but I doubt he will be in excellent form either ; and for Torres there is only Babel considering Ngog is probably as tired - and will start anyway if we continue with Roy's 442).

I'm more worried about losing also the next league game, if we chose to play one more time our stars for 90mn in this one. I'd rather play youngs and Poulsen in the cup, at least there would be no false hopes.

Will obviously be a tough game for us considering our away form and that Hodgson will probably play Konchesky and the Mancs will put everything down his side. However, I can see their being a good few goals like there has been at OT the past few games. If Woy play's the team above I reckon we'll get a 2-1 win or 2-2 I think. Hopefully it won't come to Woy being in charge by then. King Kenny to come in as Caretaker boss at least until summer befor Saturday.

I know but I am just hoping that either King Kenny comes in. Or The players go into an anti-hodgson mindset and Gerrard leads the tactics on the pitch

I think that is our best XI currently (Cole played well on the right last night in my eyes). We lost 3-2 against the Mancs earlier at the toilet, and frankly I don't expect Berbatov to play a blinder in this one. I'd go for a scoring draw, and take it back to Anfield.
