SAF: Hodgson never had a chance

      http://www.teamtalk.com/liverpool/6663538/SAF-Hodgson-never-had-a-chance?

"It's disappointing because he had the experience to do the job - but not the players, obviously.

"I don't know the full circumstances of how he was operating but you had the feeling through the media that he was on a hiding to nothing."

I just wish Alex Ferguson would shut-up and respect his old age. Always has to open his buccal cavity and spew out rubbish.

The title is true. As he was far to be good enough he never had a chance to succeed.

But I suspect it's not what Sir Alex wanted to say.

If he's got the "experience but not the players" for Liverpool, he's easily good enough to take over the reigns at Man Utd - sign him up there on a 10 year contract.

Why da F**k does SAF find it disappointing when its self evident that he hates Liverpool?

Irrespective of what this hypocritcal w**ker says, the players that we have should be good enough to get us in to the top half of the table.

Have to agree with the above quote, NAIL ON THE f***in HEAD:"Woy's appointment was music to the ears for those who hate everything Liverpool or Liverpool FC."

I wondered how long that whiskey pickled, bacon faced tosser would keep his biased views to himself.

Sir n*b head can never keep his trap shut. He has no class. It's sad really that even when we're not challenging them (in terms of league position or on cup fronts) he still has to say bollox about us.

"I don't know the full circumstances of how he was operating but you had the feeling through the media that he was on a hiding to nothing."

      a) Yeah right 35 years experience of being sh*t.

      b) Yes you did, he told over a sneaky little Chablis after watching Wigan in as he wiped the remnants of you off his chin.

      c) Through the media? The media kissed his wrinkly pile ridden arse till he was gone and some continued after. One person and one person only sealed his fate and that was the man himself by utilising his sh*t 'skills' in a way that was so far from the 'liverpool way' it caused me sleepless nights.

What a tw*t you are, the only good thing about these comments is it's the first time you've felt the need to mumble this kind of sh*t this season and to me that speaks volumes.

Life is fair what he said and what he did over the years will come back and haunt him and his beloved club one day, I hope he'll be alive to see that. I just hope that. We have hit rock bottom, don't worry his beloved scums have not even started on the same route, what goes up must come down as the saying goes, just wait for showtime.

How about a sabbatical, and leave him in charge.

      No, thought not.

No he did not stand a chance, as he was clueless to the demands of a top 6 team. He did what he did best, Mediocrity.

Liverpool FC and its fan base are very patient with their managers, so 6 months in the job says a lot.

Every other manager in our history (apart from Ronnie Moran and Phil Thompson as caretakers) has had at least 131 games in charge.  Roy had 31.  That does indeed say it all.

Ferguson can F**k off. Never cared for him, his management style, his comments, his success, his club, anything.

He can stick to his own sh*t house excuse for a football club and let us move on with a man who taught him footballing lessons time, after time, after time.

Hodgson was his own worst enemy, he must have known what we think of Ferguson and yet he lets Ferguson get away with disrespecting Torres in public and does or says nothing, not sticking up for Torres showed us all that Hodgson didn't give a dam about the players here and if anything he thought more about staying in Ferguson's good book than he did for this club so is it any wonder why he had to go.

I all fairness Kenny found out on wednesday how difficult Roys job was when he went to Bloomfield road . All be it Kenny had only had 2 days to train with the team . I think Roy was/is a great manager he just never stood a chance at liverpool.

The main reason he never stood a chance is because he is far from a great manager. Sorry but I don't understand how you can say he was/is. He is mediocre at best. There are/have been great managers in the world however, roy is/never has been one of them.

I don't think the LMA award should be a criteria for being Liverpool manager - but we were constantly told it was.

Ferguson should just keep his F***ing mouth shut.  I'm sick of him thinking he runs things with his little gay gang of Allardyce and Bruce.

Everyone who keeps suggesting Roy Hodgson was the right man or was never given time have obviously never seen Liverpool play or watch his interviews.

It wasn't all about the losses. One, the performances were always poor (notice how we have played under King Kenny?). While us fans can accept losses and occasional poor performances (like 1 in 5 games max), what we all wanted was a manager who views the club the same way we do.

What do Shankly, Paisley, Houlier, Benitez and Dalglish have in common? They have a relationship with the fans and says the right things, something Roy could never have even if given 60 months.

Go on, tell me i know nothing about the game. And then ill remind you of our worst start for over half a century, and a Torres that looked like Carlton Cole playing under Hodgson. Go on, try and tell me how great Hodgson is.

The man is sh*t, and the fact Ferguson is defending him and saying he should have had more time is just more proof he was the wrong man.

      Quote
      Ferguson praises LMA influence
By PA Sport  December 02, 2009

There are a lot of constructive ideas coming from the LMA these days and although it isn't a militant organisation, it does protect the rights of managers more effectively...

Sir Alex Ferguson has warned clubs who think they can get rid of their managers on the cheap they are in for a nasty shock.

As a lifelong believer in unions, and a member of the League Managers' Association management committee, Ferguson has always been at the forefront of managerial issues. Yet, with the increased demands of the current era meaning more club owners adopt a knee-jerk attitude to results, Ferguson has been powerless to prevent managers being sacked, sometimes after only a matter of months in the job.

Ferguson, who pointed out that the LMA has been successful in the last seven compensation cases it has brought to court, told United Review: "There are a lot of constructive ideas coming from the LMA these days and although it isn't a militant organisation, it does protect the rights of managers more effectively."

He added: "Too many clubs have short-changed managers after they had sacked them.

"But with a good barrister behind us ..... clubs who think that delaying tactics could save them money should think again."

Alan Curbishley and Kevin Keegan are just two high-profile figures who have emerged with significant sums from protracted court cases recently.

And Ferguson can see the LMA becoming increasingly proactive within the game as a whole.

"I believe the LMA is making an increasingly important contribution to the development of our game," said Ferguson.

"Under Richard Bevan and Howard Wilkinson the association is putting forward a lot of carefully thought-out proposals that we believe could benefit football.

"   * For many years football was run with a feudal approach that kept the manager in their place and, inevitably, fragmented us as rivals.
Our voice was not heard, or if it was, it wasn't listened to.
I am glad to say things have changed."

Copyright (c) PA Sport 2009, All Rights Reserved.

In an article that  FScum admits to being on the Management Commitee of the LMA and helping inferior managers keep their job so his little status quo is not threatened.

The feudal system he refers to is exactly his own.

There is an old saying. You always criticize your own biggest failing.

He was recently placed on the record of publicly offering Hodgson the full "support" of the LMA.

You have to say that Fergusons little outburst about standing up to Shrek and player power was hilarious.
"I had to do it" ...he said.

      He didnt though.

Rooney and his agent p**sed all over him!

There is one answer that everyone who told us that Hodgson was a good manager shies away from and that's when you say ''why not your team take him on if he's that good'' and have you noticed how quiet it goes. Of course others wanted us to have him because then we are not a threat to their team.

If the answer (which I suspect is) No, then it shows that John and Tom were right to let him go.

If the answer is yes, then there are all a bunch of deluded idiots, and they can hire him now and see how he pwogwesses
