World Cup: ICC raps its own chief Sharad Pawar for ticket mess
A day after the International Cricket Council (ICC) rapped its own president Sharad Pawar for mishandling the distribution of tickets for World Cup matches, the police lathicharge of irate cricket fans in Bangalore on Thursday was an indication of worse to come.

The 30,000-odd fans turned violent when they discovered they couldn’t buy tickets for the coveted India-England match on Sunday despite standing in line outside Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy Stadium from the previous night because the 7,000 tickets available sold out in a few hours.

In a memo leaked to the media on Wednesday, the ICC’s legal head had warned Pawar that: “With significant demand and little availability… there is potential for chaos... when the box office sales open.” The memo also complained that the ICC’s image had taken a beating because sponsors and fans who bought tickets six months in advance had still not received their tickets.

Australia need 5 runs of 102 balls, think they may win here.

If you're referring to test cricket, I'd much rather prefer the WC. :D

P.S. What was that howler Collingwood made? That denied England a wicket. :D

Test Cricket is real cricket, i love one-dayers as well but any true cricket fan appreciates the test matches over all else, IMO.

Quite looking forward to India v England now, should be a good game, for us to go far in this tournement Bopara needs to step up and do Morgans job-and I mean the usual Morgan not the sh*t one we saw agianst Australia. I think our whole team are washed out after too much cricket to be honest.

Quite happy to see my surprise pick of Pakistan win today. They really do need to understand the art of fielding though. Akmal behind the stumps was poor at times, some of the dropped catches was kids stuff.

Afridi with the ball is gonna be devastating for the opposition.

Should be a good match today. India vs. England.

      Might catch atleast one innings.

Yup, but sadly India seem to see it as an inconvenience. Whenever we have series against them there is like 2 tests, 5 20/20s and 7/8 ODI's.

The crowds for the limited overs is much bigger as well.

Personally I find test match cricket the best, much more exciting when it comes to its climax than 20/20 and ODI imo.

When it kicks into action the 4 days you have sat there watching not much happening is well worth it.

Of course Ashes cricket I live every ball so every ball is exciting. :)

Looking at around 350 at this stage.

Incidentally, Sachin's only 2nd one-day century against England in his career. :o

Well played Sachin and well bowled Bresnan and Yardy, shame the rest of our bowlers couldn't do the same, big ask this now.

      32 needed from 15 balls.

Unless we can bang a couple of sixes, India's all the way.
