      Andy Gray worked for Sky.

      Rupert Murdoch owns Sky.

Andy Gray is suing the news of the world for tapping his phone.

Rupert Murdoch owns that sh*t rag also.

      The theorum of conspiracy.

Yeah, he is defo being stitched up. New they would sack him, and this is their way of justifying it.

Still, they would have had nothing on him, had he not been a chauvenistic c**t.

Not hard to see the heavy hand of murdoch here, but as you say, gray gave them the ammo.

Pressure now mounting for keys to be next.

I think Richard Keys should be sacked as well and Gray, after their ignorant, sexist comments on TV. Sky Sports should set an example and give their jobs to female presenters.

Finally had a response the email I sent the Editor of SSN.

      Dear Vicky

Thank you for your email. I would like to forward this response from Barney Francis, the Managing Director of Sky Sports.

I have spoken directly to both Richard Keys and Andy Gray on Monday morning.  It has been made clear to each of them that their comments were totally unacceptable.

Those views are inexcusable, entirely inconsistent with our ethos as a business and employer, and will rightly offend many of our customers, our people, and the wider public. They are inexcusable from anyone at Sky, regardless of their role or seniority.

We have dealt with this matter by taking immediate disciplinary action.  As with any employee it would not be right to go into detail on those proceedings. However, they have been clearly warned about their behaviour and reminded of their responsibilities.

In addition, Richard and Andy were not involved in any way with the live Monday Night Football.

Sky Sports yesterday terminated its contract with Andy Gray.

Not telling me anything I did'nt know already !

He dosent seem to understand that talking in a pub with your mates is not the same as being a broadcaster where you earn a living from your words.
He has apologised which was the right thing to do but the honourable thing would have been to resign. But let him without sin cast the first stone. I think the difference here was it wasnt lads banter it was blantant sexismn.

I honestly think a fine would have sufficed.

To lose his job for sexist remarks is too far. He hasn't sexually harassed anybody. He hasn't been treating women different in the workplace.

He made a few stupid comments that can happen.

If she had made a wrong decision, plenty of people would say no woman should be in such an important position.

Albeit, he didn't give her a chance to prove herself. he deserves a second chance.

Your an idiot asking a woman to tuck a microphone into your sock classifies as sexual harrasment in my eyes.

But he did treat women differently in the workplace, thats the whole thing. He treated her wrong cos she was a female in a 'male' sport. Just plain wrong. Lads banter and this are totally different.

ill admit his commentary was fun at times, like the gerrard goal, but afterall he is a bitter c**t.

      Sorry Glynn, but your wrong.

A Fine for the millionaire? That's going to hurt isn't it?

Have you seen the video of him sexually harassing Charlotte Jackson in post #171
Charlotte Jackson, is well presented, where as Grey is allowed to be a body double for Jabba the Hut.

His "stupid comments" are wrong, and illegal in accordance with The Sex Discrimination Act of 1975.

The fact she did not make a wrong decision has proven those people you talk of as being wrong. Is it OK for a man to make the same wrong decisions?

He had his second chance, and probably many more. I suspect he and Keys have been making this comments for all of their careers.

He is 55, and Keys is 53, they have grown up through the same time frame as I have. So I know, they know, this is wrong and if they don't they need to be taught.

I work with a lot of women, and I know a lot of them are a damn site smarter than me.

Seriously though, totally agree with you RP, both should be sacked.

They were quick enough to sack Rodney Marsh for comments that were obviously a joke, but at the same time disrespectful.

And PGlynn, you need to grow up.  As already stated, would you like it if it was one of the female members of your family?  I think not.
