Three days from the current transfer deadline, making a bid for practically our only striker, for 15 million less than they reportedly bidded for Aguero and knowng we havent yet brought in a forward ourself is a laughable attempt considering the circumstances. We're spsoedly looking to bring a new forward in and they're attempting to prize away our only one? I just ask myself who actually comes up with the logic behind these bids, absoloutely foolish, think its more of a PR stunt more than anything, "we still have the money" or some other bravado bullshit.

If anyone at the club even considered accepting this bid, even for ridiculous amounts of money (50-70 million) I'd have to ask if they've got their heads screwed on. I'll convert to Budhaism if this bid even comes close to going through.

Yeah i think I agree with ^^^^. If Chelsea can't agree fee for Luiz how can they afford Torres. Only concern I have is if Torres wants to stay in this team if we do nothing this window. Because either it's bullshit and the buyout clause is higher than that (although knowing Hicks and Gillett I doubt it) or as someone said earlier it's just bravado by Chelsea trying to make it look to their gullible fans that they still have money to spend...

If he did have a £50 million buyout clause (Extremely unlikely), why wouldn't Chelsea offer that? After reportedly bidding over £50 million for Aguero Im guessing they have the funds available? Surely they have more of an insight in to his contract than some bloke down at the times.
