Better be on your best behaviour boys. Now that Andy is in town. Haha...But I am sure he will score lots of goals for us. I think it was the deal of the season getting two very good strikers in exchange for an excellent one (although injury prone).

If i am not mistaken didn't Shearer win with Blackburn in 94-95 when he was top scorer with i think three or four hat-tricks.  Correct me if i am wrong.

I'm very worried about paying huge money for a player carrying an injury that's taking much longer than expected to heal. 

The name Aquilani springs to mind.  Hope I'm proved wrong.

IMO it would have been better to retain the previous No.9 until the end of the season, then deal with whatever happened in a less frantic environment.

Yeah but if Nando had come out and said something on the same lines then we would be a little bit different towards him. But he hasn't because he has no heart. Difference is we have now got a player who cares about the fans that he plays for and I have absolutely no F***ing doubt that this lad Carroll will love our club from the heart.

Yup!!

Carroll is a decent player, no doubt, a good addition, an England regular of the future.
But at 35mill there is a voice sayin if we held on till end of season, and Newcastle hadn't us by the balls, we might have got him, or even someone else, at a better deal. He's havin a tough time with injury, got some mad tendon thing that he's seeing a specialist in Sweden for. So he can't play anyway, and could be out for quite a while.
Still, deffo don't think it's a risk like the Aguaman deal though, he has played in the PL and has shown he can do it. I've been impressed when I've seen him. So if he can get himself back fit, in a team with SG and Raul and Suarez, he could really prove a rock for us up front.
Anyway, whatever about the deal, the transfer, the price tag - fuckit - Andy, you're coming to a fantastic club, we're behind you and wish you all the best.

Yup, we Yanks seldom break out in song at a sporting event but I've had the chance several times to sing that song in the 8th inning and the place rocks.
