I'm probably biased because Romário scored 204 in 240 games for Flamengo, but I do think he was one of the greatest players of all time... could have had an even more illustrious career if he wanted, but he loved playing in Brazil and decided to leave Europe the year after being named the world's best player by FIFA. That means he hasn't got enough recognition in Europe for the player he was.

He started a political career in 2010, being elected to the Chamber of Deputies as a representative of Rio de Janeiro State. He's part of the Brazilian Socialist Party.

Surprisingly for me, he's been a revelation as politician. Differently to most 'stars' that decide to have some sort of political career, he's actually promoting relevant law projects and has been one of the most active voices against the corruption and waste of public money related to the World Cup 2014 and Rio's Olympic Games of 2016.

He's always been one of my favorite players but I had a bit of a problem with his arrogance off the field, never actually loved the man, but he's earned my respect lately. Not to mention it was hilarious listening to his opinions on Mano Menezes after Brazil lost to Mexico the Olympic games finals.

Yeah I think I remember now when he went to Australia. Near the end of his career he played in some obscure places, I remember for a while he played in some Miami team not in the MLS too.

Travelling to Amsterdam today and tomorrow to watch a bunch of youth matches for the Future Cup. The competing teams are Ajax, Toronto, Sao Paulo, Tottenham, Anderlecht, Barcelona, Benfica and Bayern Munich. Leaving in a bit for Ajax-Sao Paulo, and then Bayern-Barcelona after that. Tomorrow probably going to Barcelona-Benfica and Ajax-Tottenham. Should be fun!

They're airing it on Europsort in my country, and I think there's streams in the usual illegal places, for anyoen that's interested. The semis and the final is on monday.

PSV-Ajax just ended in 2-3. It was basically the most important game of the eredivisie this season, Ajax took a big step towards their 3rd title in a row. Ajax now 5 points ahead of number 2 Vitesse with 4 games to go, PSV dropped to 3rd 6 points behind Ajax.

A cracking game, really surprised by PSV who decided that having a similar kit to Stoke meant they shoud start playing like them.

That's actually what their current capabilities are mate, it just shows that much more against a team like Ajax. PSV's defense is dire, defensively but even more so in build up play. And Ajax are a team that put early pressure on the opponent's half, put pressure on PSV"s defense, so PSV made errors in build up and resorted to hoofing. It's been PSV's weakness all season, even lesser teams caught onto that, that when they started pressuring PSV early and more agressive they started messing up.

PSV's been heavily criticsed for it in my country all season too. They were seen as number 1 favourites for the title at the start of the season, after heavily investing a year ago, and now this season signing Advocaat as their manager and Van Bommel coming back. And they needed to win the title too from a financial point of view. It's their 100th anniversary this season, and they needed CL football again next season to cover their finances. Their policy is quite bad, they've been saved by a government loan 2 years ago, and they heavily invested into players again, idiots. Meanwhile Ajax, and Feyenoord also, have been cutting in their teams and relying more on youth, and it pays off.

So PSV seems to be fu**ed. Advocaat is expected to leave after this season, so is Van Bommel. Players like Strootman and Mertens want to leave this summer, They're not going to be any better next season.

Fairytale season for my team in the Aussie league.

Western Sydney Wanderers were established this year and even up until a few weeks before the season kicked off we didn't have a team ready but we brought in Tony Popovic from Crystal Palace, a Soccerroo representative, as our coach and he built a team from players that have struggled in the league, some experienced players like our keeper Ante Covic and some imports including Japanese legend Shinji Ono as a marquee signing and after breaking an Aussie record of 10 straight wins, we're in the final this season.

Been amazing. Our fan base is crazy fanatical (yes, they exist in Australia) and comparable to the German fans in the stands.

      Here's a clip:

Wanderers fans & RBB away - 10,000 travel to Newcastle!! 2012/13 Premiers!! NUJ VS WSW (29/03/2013)

Western Sydney Wanderers: 2012/13 A-League Premier's Plate Winners

No Aussie sport team has had this kind of support since...ever. It's been amazing. We won the minor premiership during the season, and play the Central Coast Mariners in the grand final this Sunday.

Kudos to the Wanderes for exceeding all expectations and firmly establishing themselves as a club with vocal and passionate support.

But to compare the clubs support considering they have been in existence a mere 10 months to German fans is laughable. How can something that was created basically ovenight be compared to something that is entrenched in to German culture and passionately passed on down from generation to generation?

Nothing against the Wanderers and no Im not a bitter supporter of Sydney FC don't really follow the A-league that much but it grinds my gears seeing something that is so cosmetic and overnight  being passionately advocated.

Go to a Wanderers game and tell me how it goes. My comparison was solely based on match days.

Before a ball was kicked the whole of the west was covered in Red and Black. I don't think you can find a store with an official kit in it, not since a week before our first game.
