Looked understandably rusty at times, especially early on but overall flanno was excellent and hopefully will be around for a while longer especially if he is up against sterling

I think he was better than "ok" as some are saying.

      1) fair enough, he gave away some fouls, but he won a lot of tackles too. That was key. And his work rate was pretty good.

      2) that tracking back of Sterling and the subsequent tackle. That was brilliant. Needs a special mention, that.

Brilliant display from Flanno tonight. Loved that tackle on Sterling, set the tone for the whole game.

I much prefer a rusty Flanagan to a fit Moreno. Granted, Flanagan wasn't faultless due to his rustiness but he was still able to bring the grey matter onto the pitch with him, something Moreno sorely lacks.

He was fine, but it's a typical overreaction where he's concerned. Had Moreno made some of the mistakes that Flanagan made or given away some of the silly free kicks he gave away, he'd have been criticised. Even Clyne would've had critics if he had put in this sort of performance.

Definitely deserves a new contract though. I don't want to see him as first choice every week, but as a number two he's fine.
Far from a perfect performance, agreed, dived in a few times and got caught out a few times, bit rusty, but he saved us a few times, fearless in the tackle, and a winner, just let your love for Moreno go mate!!!!

That early tackle. YES YES YES.

It got everyone going, a smile spread right across my face when I saw it. Proper Carra tackle that lad, loved Klopp's after match interview about Flanno. Brilliant

How about that interception in the first half, Moreno would of still be chugging back to make an inteception like that.

Whether you like or not we looked more solid at the back with Flanno and Clyne playing.

Once fully fit, will be back to being a full first teamer.

Wasn't he the one that gave it away?

      Yes.

Point being he put himself into a position where he could recover though something Moreno has not proved he is capable of doing.

Unfortunately, that's Moreno's speciality, to recover with speed a F**k up of his.

Nah. He definitely wasn't sh*te, but he was no where near as good as people in here are saying either. It was a 7/10 performance and if Moreno had given the same performance he'd have been slated for a number of things.

I had it down as a 6, which I thought was a generous 6. Had him tied with Henderson as our poorest starting player on the night, though Henderson was much better in the second half than the first.

Poop, how old are you? By the way you're also talking sh*te. Here's a clip of his boss interception that definitely would have led to a goal.

Because Moreno got in an argument with a Stoke player? Also, erm, Moreno played in several games after that including the cup final.

Would Moreno have been able to make an interception like above? Answer, would he f**k!!

      Who knows?

Would Moreno have made the bad pass that led to the interception? Probably not.

That's not saying much considering you lot have Alba, Bernat, and Gaya all three of whom are very good players.
