Only 37 out of 66 predictions in for tomorrow night's game.  Pull your fingers out if you haven't entered your 'scorecast'.

2-0 the favoured prediction so far.

If nobody has any objections then I think Shikhark takes the prize for October?  Anybody beat 7 points and +6 GD? Last chance.

      Table updated after tonight's 8-0.

One thing could you run over how goals for & against work in prediction league...or point me to the post that explains it... :-[

There is a help button in the Prediction League and it says this

' Points are awared as follows:

          * 3 Points for a correct score. i.e. you predict 3-1 and the result is 3-1.
          * 1 Point for a correct result. You predict 1-1, the score is 2-2.

      Goal Difference

          * For each correct teams number of goals you score, you receive that number of +goals. e.g. you predicit 2 and the team scores 2, you get +2 goals.
          * For each incorrect number of goals you predict per team, you lose the difference in goals. e.g. you predict 3 and the team scores 2, you get -1 goals. '

eg. Shikhark predicted 2-0 to the reds for tonight.  He got 1 point for the correct 'result' but -6 goal difference (ie. 6 added to his 'Goals Against' column)

Shikhark - you're the winner.  Send me a PM.

Shikhark lives in Italy.  The original prize was intended to be a case of wine or beer or something along those lines.

Seeing as this would probably be a 'logistical nightmare' (always wanted to get that phrase in on the forum) I am going to arrange for a training shirt of some description for the fella.

Well done Shikhark anyway - 'October manager of the month' (although it was hardly a runaway success!)

JD, it didn't register my last two predictions.

I had 0-0 for the Blackburn game, and 8-0 for the Besiktas game :D :D :D

(Ok I had 1-0 to us against Blackburn & 3-0 against Besiktas)

      ^^ Disappointed you didn't bite.

Anyway... table updated.  Shikhark still on top FFS.

I have added the final two games of November which are Newcastle away in the Prem and Porto at home in the Champions League.

Shikhark PM'ed me last night.  I had completely forgot about sending him something - but it is now winging it's way to him.

I sincerely hope someone else starts putting a run together because shipping isn't cheap to Italy. ;)

I think I'll go for a 4-2 victory for us Newcastle are usually good at home but with recent results you tend to think they are struggling now especially with no Owen up front, we are becoming more aggresive away and can go anywhere and get a result with Torres, Carra, Gerrard and Arbeloa being our key players at the moment.

      Maybe December.

Prediction league updated.  Just the Porto one left and then I will be sticking all of December's fixtures on.

Make sure you get the Porto prediction in.

(BTW - nobody predicted 3-0 against Newcastle)
