Beat Benfica 3-1 though at the weekend bringing there 16 game unbeaten run to an end, and they have beaten Arsenal 2-0 and Celtic 3-0 earlier in the season at home. I think it will be a real struggle tonight

Celtic are sh*te though, lost 4-0 too against Utrecht, a dutch midtable team. But yeah, we shouldn't let ourselfs be caught off guard like Arsenal probably was. And I don't think that tonight will be that easy either, but over 2 legs we should be able to win fairly easily. Teams like Porto, Zenit, Leverkusen etc. will give us a much harder time. If we want to win this thing then Braga shouldn't be giving us too much trouble.

I know Joe Cole has had a poor run of form but surely we'd be better off sticking him into the midfield than Poulsen? Come to think of it...I'd probably rather play with 10 men than Christian Poulsen!

I agree with no Poulsen and nine out of ten no Ngog either but until Carroll is match fit David will be used, i'd play him with Kuyt in behind with support coming from Cole and Maxi on either flank with Meireles and Lucas in the middle, with a back 4 of GJ, Carra, Skirt and Wilson and Pepe between the sticks, bring Carroll on for Ngog around the hour mark, but that could depend on how we are fairing, these are no pushovers, i'd be ecstatic coming back with a clean sheet or even a 2-1 deficit, a away goal could prove vital over the two legs, C'mon Redmen get f***in in there, they will be more worried about us than we are of them...........

By that rational then Roy Hodgson should still be manager as he guided us through the same rounds and Koncheskey should be left back as he done his bit to!!

Away from home we dont need a striker shy of confidence who cant hold the ball for us.

Ngog is terrible.

If Kuyt starts let it be as a striker and not out wide.

Think he has shown that this season that he's not got the game for the right wing anymore but can still do a shift up top.

I think he has but only in certain games. Away games in particular against tough opposition where for 90mins its all about hard work, positioning and concentration.

Against sides like blackpool at home though were we are crying out for a bit of pace or creativity then kuyt definately can't cope on the right.

Would like to see him upfront tonight anyway because i really cant be arsed with ngog.

Is that against the part timers, he has been sh*te in about 20 games since, pity he can't play against them every week. I dont think he should be anywhere near the team tonight
